HAHA! You're after my husband's heart. The million dollar question is how many run? If they all do, then I bow to you your highness LOL!

haha thats a good question! I left 2 in FL in storage in running conditions and the 2 here one is running and the other one I just blow up the engine in my turbo one at the track 2 weeks ago the engine is out and it will be running soon i hope. all 4 has new paint job but its time to start getting rid of at least 3.

KILLER_VIZ wrote:LOL you can get away with an intake, Cat back, and just about any handling mod if you wanted too. Cobb AP, DP, hpfp internals stuff like that you can kiss it good buy! I gave up on the warranty, Its kind of shitty anyways.

Well, technically even an intake can void your warranty. It's all up to how strict the dealer wants to be. On my SRT-4 I had full catless turboback, stage 1 computer upgrade, wastegate actuator upgrade, all installed myself and they never said anything when I took it in. Granted I never took it in for stuff that could in any way be related to that stuff, but it wasn't like they tried to void my warranty for everything else. Never had to visit the dealer with my MS3 other than a gas cap issue that happened the week I got it so I don't have experience with any Mazda dealers to know how mod-friendly or unfriendly they are.

But it really just depends on the dealer and if something goes wrong that could potentially be attributed to a mod you did. Those mods are very easy to swap back out to stock though (intake and catback at least) for dealer trips. The intake will make a pretty noticeable difference in power. The catback will just be pretty much for sound, though you can add a test pipe to get a few more horses out of an easily swappable part.

Also, if you get an AP, you can un-marry it before you go to the dealer and it won't be immediately obvious that you ever had a tune. I'm not even sure they can find out if you had one even if they go digging.

I have heard that you can run lean with just an intake and no AP. Any truth to that? I wouldn't change the exhaust anyway. I think it is loud enough for my taste. I know, I know, stop being such a girl....

I really want to lower but, but geez the driveways in Colorado. You would think you guys would all have 4x4's.

We had an AP on the MS6. My husband was so close to buying me one, and then our friend blew his STI up. It wasn't the cobb that did it, but it still discouraged my husband from buying me any mods. :( I need to get a job so I can buy my own stuff, but not working is so much fun lol!

I wish we would have just kept the MS6. It already had most of the mods I wanted done to it + AWD. Ironically we sold it 2 weeks before my van got totaled out, because we didn't need the extra car. It was paid off too.:(

I'm equally confused regarding his comment, as none of the above sounds like me.

Regardless, welcome aboard.

*gasp* I am an apple lover. LOL At least I don't stick those damn apple stickers on my car.

Don't worry, sometimes I mess around with a PC. I guess I'm PC curious.

Being a Mazda site, there are far more Apple supporters than there are detractors. Mazda and Apple (consumer-wise) seem to go hand in hand.

It's probably about even on pro/con Apple people. I'm sure if you do some searching you'll find some threads in the Lounge where we argue about them, lol.
