So I picked the car up first thing this AM....they told me the fuel pump was only putting out 44 psi, causing a lean condition triggering the CEL. According to spec it should be 55-63 psi... only drove it a couple of exits on I25 because I had to get to work....seems to be OK, but I'll know more after the trip home. Thanx for your support & letting me rant.....

Weird question.. you said the CEL comes and goes.. did they tell you what the code was?

Put some hiway/local miles on the car today and the CEL stayed off, so its looking like the fuel pump was the problem...I asked what the code was and all they could tell me was "fuel trim"...

I'd go to Autozone next time and find out the code for free. Was it fixed under warranty or did you have to pay out of pocket?

This was an out of pocket adventure....I'm glad it's working too, now if the weather would finally warm up so I can drop the top and drive some of these twisty mountain roads!!

hey everyone. Im new to the club as well, joined a little while ago but havent actually done anything till now. To jump on the bob pehnkis motor city bashing bandwagon... I bought my mazda 3 from them, and got a years worth of free oil changes and supposedly a 100k warranty (bought an 07 in dec of 07 with 30k miles on it). So I took it in a couple times to have oil changed. First time, no problem. Second, they tried to steal a couple tools I had hid under my hood (dont ask why they werent elsewhere in the car, I dont remember lol). Third time, made an appt, took it in. They asked if i was gonna wait for it there and I told them no, my wife and I had errands to run during the hour it was supposed to take. This was at 11am. No call... no call... no call... pulled back in at 5:30pm and they said they hadnt started it yet cuz I wasn't waiting there. What the hell is the point of an appointment made over a week in advance if they dont do it then. Ever since, I couldnt care less about saving money on free oil changes and just do it myself. Also I called them a month ago to check if the 3rd gear syncro on my tranny is still under warranty (cuz it went out) and they said my car was out of warranty 09-29-09. How does that work? It still has under 100k, and datewise 12-13-07 to 9-29-09? Ive never heard of a year and a half and sixteen day warranty. They havent returned my calls since. Anyways, nice to meet everyone.
