My original intention was to use it to turn around, but after the first bend, I kept goint...WOT! Besides the FWD < AWD aspect on the corners, I looked at my better half after we had finished and she says (of all things), "you need some mods". I LMAO because she has never said such a thing to me:lol:
Wow... my wife has never told me I needed more mods. Although, she's been in the car when I was playing "autoX" with islands & street lights in an empty parking lot... the first time that happened in the STI, I received the following response:
"I always knew you were a good driver, but never realized just how good you really are. Why don't you go to the track more often?"^^^That is completely 100% true. LOL. I told her I used to autoX a lot when I lived in Texas, when I was a single soldier (aka prior to becoming a tied down family man lol), but she never really understood, as I never went 10/10ths with her in the car.
I then explained to her why I don't go to the track more often: it's expensive. LOL. I explained to her the price of tires & good brake pads, and how often I used to go through tires, brake pads & rotors (partially due to using more aggressive pads I didn't run on the street). I also explained to her the number of engines (3), transmissions (2) & other such things I had destroyed over there years, and how much they cost me to fix them. After explaining this, she instantly understood. Compound that with the fact that my STI is my daily driver and unlike the Army, I can no longer walk to work from the barracks when my car breaks haha.
Honestly I really miss track days though
At that point she understood why I really wanted an STI, and that ultimately it had more than enough performance, that it could easily get someone in trouble on the street. Really, for a street car, this thing doesn't need more grip/better acceleration... I just want it sometimes

Either way, she's supportive of my modding, but never really encouraged it per se. She would much rather have more stuff around the house rather than under the hood of the car haha, but she knows what makes me happy
