2010 Speed 3

Postby I`m Batman » Sun Apr 12, 2009 9:14

The whole reason that hurried and got my 09 Speed3 this year is because the new one is f*ugly! But I thought that I would miss out on the more powerful model in 2010.

I guess I don't have to worry about that anymore. The 2010 is still running the same 2.3 T with the same power output. I feel much better now! :D

Same here. I'm so glad I picked up my '09.

I was surprised they used the old 2.3T. Definitely going to be slower, since it's heavier.

Yeah that thing is gross. Wish they would have made it a little quicker than the previous.

That's odd that it has the same power and is heavier. Pretty disappointed in Mazda on that one.

The front is horrible..........It is just bad, and the rear does not get any better........I guess the only good news is Mazda being able to continually support the 2.3 MZR.....;)

I hope to see a new MS6 model come and make up for the let down....

Completely agreed. The 2010 is just overpriced and icky. I wish that Mazda had made another speed6 that's likely where I would have been.

I like the intake on the hood, but other than that it's pretty bad. 09 ftw!

Yeah, although I can see why they didn't... the Speed3 sold like hotcakes, whereas the Speed6, well, when I bought mine, they were giving out $3500 rebates to try and move them off the lot.

Honestly, I liked my old Speed6, but I never felt like the 2.3L MZR motor ever fit the chassis... don't get me wrong, it can make good power, and pull the car just fine, but it never really sat right with me. That motor felt more at home in the lighter MS3. I always wished they would have offered the MS6 with a turbo V6, kind of like Ford is doing with the upcoming Taurus SHO, 365hp EcoBoost V6+AWD. Something like that would have been nice to see in the Speed6. I would have gladly paid the difference in the cost of the 2 motors.

On topic, the outgoing MS3 was definitely more attractive. Curious to see if Mazda at least got the suspension right. Only time will tell I suppose.

Someone needs to make a bodykit for that front bumper ASAP + black out those tail lights

Edit.. Well, with these new body styles, my cars gonna be even more rare now so can't argue with that

The speed6 is not well heard of. I always get that look as well.
