On a side note I've got to give a big shoutout to Eric (Firestoned) for giving me an extra ricirc hose that he had and for the sugeestion about tapping the boost tube next to the manifold for the boost source for the Synapse BOV.

I now am flutter/compressor surge free thanks to this and feel much more comfortable getting on it now. Thanks a bunch.

The boost tube eh? I thought it was supposed to T into the WG solenoid<->WG actuator line.

too much pressure variation in that source... flutter can happen at low boost. Get the tap here

thx Patrick, glad the spare tube went to somebody who could use it.

^^^ Then can you post what you know in some how-to threads for MS6'ers? So far you're the most experienced in that area. (there seriously isn't any sarcasm or anything there so dont read into it.)

That's what Synapse says to do, but that doesn't seem to work out with MS6's with a FMIC. I think the extra piping and such causes problems for both the BOV and the wastegate actuator, there might be too much air in the system for the BOV to react properly.

So, tapping into the boost tube on the hot side gives you an unregulated boost source that makes the synapse react properly to the boost pressures within the system.

On a side note, when I had SCR performance install the BOV, they tapped the line comming from the bottom of the wastegate, instead of the top. Turns out my hands are way to big to get back there and take off the tee they put in and replumb the lines. So I now have a tee with a short boost line with a screw in it for now. The joys of working in a japanese engine compartment.

its a real PITA unless you remove the TIP. Once thats out of the way, anybodys big hands can get back there.

I'm still waiting on my Synapse and CP-E TIP to come in.

Patrick, if you wouldn't mind, I'll probably dyno with your AP when you go to Texas. I'm hoping to do a side-by-side comparison with the AP and Standback.
