I don't have a camera so I couldn't take any pics of the build process, but I've mostly upgraded suspension, and worked on getting it race legal. Since I got it in March, I've done a lot of stripping, installed a Sparco Pro 2000 seat, changed the rod bearings, installed Koni shocks and upgraded the rear torsion bars (equivalent of springs for rear suspension), lowered it about an inch, upgraded the rear sway bar (in progress), and got an exhaust built for it...it's just about done, and if I get headlights and fix my turn signals it'll be street legal. Before (when I first got it):

After (from today):

Yes, wheel fitment is pretty ghey. I'm required to run those wheels as part of the 944 spec class rules...any wider / lower offset rims would give too much of an advantage. I'm trying to find some better fitting wheels for the street, unfortunately rims that fit Porsches happen to be crazy expensive.
Too bad I can't lower it any more either. The way the front control arms are designed, they have to be level with the ground or else it'll wear out the ball joints, and they're non-serviceable. It's like $200 to replace a control arm too...oh well. It might not look all that impressive, but it's amazing to drive...even with all-season tires on it handles much better than any other car I've owned, including the FD. Can't wait to get some R-comps on it and take it to the track.
