VG shark fin

Postby kingtut » Fri Oct 17, 2008 9:14

The stock antenna doesn't really bother me much. However, once the bad weather hits, I'm covering the MS3. I bought a cover and from glancing at the directions, it looks like I need to cut a hole in the cover to allow for the antenna to go through. Sounds pretty stupid to me- So I figured why not just go to the shark fin so I don't have to put a hole in a perfectly good cover.

I've seen that some of the antennas don't work with the VG shark fin. I've got a 2008.5 without satellite (sport model). Has anyone else put one of these fins on thier comparable MS3? ...and if so, does it negatively effect radio reception?

Can't you just take the antenna off? i think it just unscrews?

I have the sharkfin on my car, not a ms3, but it seems to do okay.
functions about the same as inglass antennas do.

Take it off ya say? Hmmm...never thought about that (big surprise there). I'll have a look when I get home. If I can unscrew it, then problem solved :)
