I read somewhere that the Automatics have far less HP... anyone else see that?

212hp Auto....232hp 6-speed.... Kinda dumb....

That's they way they have been. Since 04. The Auto's used to have more TQ beleive it or not. And I think only can rev up to like 8K.

the auto's have less hp for a few reasons the biggest being the way the transmission mounts. Also 04 and 05 rx-8 auto matics only had 197 hp compared to the 212 now..

Yep yep. And that's only cuase they switched them all to the 6-port now. Right? Anything different motor wise on the new 8. I heard that there is a 3rd oil injector.

OK update. The RX's arent unwrapped yet. I gotta agree with the fender vents. kinda gay esecially since they have a turn signal mounted on them. The face lift doesnt really thrill me much. I do like the gear swap tho. The interior once ya see it in person isnt very thrilling. The tails are a lil to Euro for me, which euro cars dont even have. Once they get them cleaned up ill pop somemore pics up.

All I'm really intrested is seeing/feeling the difference in gearing, and also taking a peek at the interior. Only can get recaro seats if you get the R3 trim package.

Yes, there is a third, at the center of the apex.

IDK what it was either the 2009 or 2010 model but one of those 8's have recaro seats in them oh god I want those in my 8.
