CEL code
Well I took it to Burt and it was looked at. All they said was what we know already, "too lean at idle". He said I was just getting too much airflow and that I should put my stock filter back on. I tried to suggest the TSB on the fuel pump etc and my idea was shot down. "You need to replace the filter". Nice guy, very friendly but that was my advice.
I know it's gonna pop again and I certainly DON'T want my car to get effed up either, but it took 2 months with everything just fine and then just all of a sudden it's running lean from the filter? Not buying it.
The guy also told me he has been having the same issues even with the Mazda intake on the 6's and 3's.
Suggestions...? (aside from removing the shtuff like Josh said.)

LOL. Bro, you are the friggin man dude! Seriously. When I disconnected my battery earlier to check my 'intake' problem, it reset my light. I had a CEL again by the time I got 4 blocks. I just made it back home after the TSB required 'flashing' up at Burt and still no CEL light. I'm feeling good about it, we'll see.
When I first went up this morning, they did the same thing 4doord did, read the code, reset it and blamed it on my Cobb intake. (actually 4doord didn't blame the intake, not out loud anyway). I already knew, thanks to you cats, that there was something awry. So I went home and posted above, went and checked the connections on the intake, all good. I called the dude at Mazda AGAIN and asked him, "are you sure there are no bulletins on my car?" He said, "I've heard of some but you have an intake problem." I didn't agree. So I called our hero, Josh! He said he would work on it and talk to this guy up there.
So Speed goes up there to get his car and slapped this dude around I guess and made him pull the TSB's out. The guy is telling us both that he can't even sell the Mazda intakes anymore because they're tripping that 2178 code. I ain't buying it, and I'm pretty sure Josh didn't either, lol. Josh text's me for my VIN and lo and behold, my car falls in the TSB covering this very CEL. Josh calls and says "go back up, they're gonna flash it for you per the TSB requirement." SWEET!
I get there and Andy Ciaria and I begin to argue as well but he flashed my CPU and it reset the CEL, no issues with it all the way home. I have a good feeling about it.
I went into the main building and complained to a manager. I told him the whole story about the bulletins etc. He takes a breath and says, "well, you're not our typical customer, you're above average." I replied "I'm just your average joe, it's all my friends that are 'above average'."
Thanks Speedy-pants.
