They do run an indexed street tire class ( Sign up for AT class ) Then you run with all the other guys on street tires and compare times based on PAX. PAX= theoretical equalization of one set of mods to another. A stock '93 Miata would multiply his time by .817 and I mulitply my SM2 miatas time by .867
For example the stock '93 miata completes the course in 60 seconds flat. Then multiply by .817 and he gets a PAX time of 49.02. I would have to get a time of 56.5 raw to beat him (56.5 * .867 = 48.98 pax time) See how equal that makes things.
Of course you do have to know what class you would be in if you weren't on street tires for that to work out.
Snip
Plus, who in their right mind would run in all-season tires?[/b]

It probably makes a difference. Depending on what engine mods you have, you are either in Street Prepared or Street Modified.
Descriptions of the categories are here.
Full rules here.
no i can drive and well, i just dont have a membership either. plus i have those street tires, and engine mods. higher boost, lowering springs, strut bar if that makes a differance.
