New House Remodel Projects

Postby RX-7 Chris » Wed May 20, 2015 9:14

Since we sold the old house and have moved I figured I would start a new thread. I'll get pictures put up of the house once we've set things up.
Here are pics from the realtors website (not the best):

Nice. We're trying to nail down a few more projects for our house. One of them being whether or not we want to finish the basement. We're also landscaping the front yard (small retaining wall).

Finishing a basement is one of those projects that you sometimes make back when you sell but sometimes don't. It all depends of if your house really needs the space. Small houses tend to get a better return on investment with a basement finish. The real question is do you need the space?

Chris,
What did you do to get the doors to fit better? Our front door needs something. Would like to do soon.

I had to pull the interior trim and re-shim the doors.

Send me some pics of your door showing what is wrong and I can help you.

I got our storage unit emptied over the weekend, I just have a little bit of stuff in my parents storage (less than a pickup load). We also worked on organizing the inside. The garage is now a complete mess because that is where the stuff from storage ended up. It is amazing how much stuff we fit in the old house, lol.

I need to rework garage shelving and remove a workbench so I can get the Galaxie in there. I also need to build some wall brackets so I can get the wood off the floor and up at the ceiling.

I have a list of home improvement projects for you to complete on my house. For free of course. I'll send them over.

LOL

I can't wait to see your new place. It looks really nice already.
