But other than that one point, without voiding your warranty, you just can't get the same features on an iPhone that you get on an Android. And I don't know what lag you're talking about the GS3 having. I can go from app to app just as fast on my GS3 as on my iPad 4. There is no lag whatsoever.

JB is software and is reversible. Lag though, I see iPhone 4S's, iPhone 5's and Galaxy S3's on a weekly basis. The S3 just isn't as smooth, especially vs my personal Nexus 4. It isn't bad, but when working with the iPhones or my personal phone, then showing a user something on their GS3... it's pokey and inconsistent. I blame part of that on touchwiz though. For appdata, I've run across no games that backup to cloud. But I only have a couple in-depth ones, like modern combat, nfs, etc. The rest are ones like Where's my water, angry birds of all sorts, jetpack joyride, etc... many of those... none backup to cloud.

There are apps on Android that will do full backups (including apps and media files) but they require rooting. But if we're going to include jailbreaking, which is basically rooting, then Android phones can do that too.

So in conclusion, since both can be rooted and jailbreak and can do the same things... iPhones are easier to learn/use, smoother and more reliable.

Lol, you can't talk about having to jailbreak to get half the features you get out of the box on new Android devices and then still claim the whole easier to use schtick. Anybody who actually cares about "easy to use" (meaning so simple and featureless a person with no tech experience could use it) isn't going to be jailbreaking their phone.

I do too. I'm not hating on Apple in general, as I did a lot of research and chose an iPad for my tablet and couldn't be happier with it. But I still believe the iPhone just feels like a dated device. It's been left behind. So many features that are standard on new Android devices have been inexplicably left off of iPhones. And the market is slowly ditching their blind brand loyalty and figuring this out, which is why Android market share is soaring while the iPhone is declining. Even just Samsung alone is outselling the iPhone these days.

In the end though it comes down to are you happy with the phone you have? If not, there are other options out there and you're bound to find something you like.

Yeah, iOS is long in the tooth. The ios7 presentation was lackluster too... wasn't impressed. Samsung produces dozens of phones per year, of many different types. That's the only reason they sell more as a whole. Phone per phone, apple still sells more of a single phone than all others. I won't try another until they do a 4.5 inch or larger screen and really overhaul the OS... and iOS 7 doesn't count.

Yea I'd rather just do all the reinstalling myself. This was the least painful restore I've ever had to do. Not as simple as plug into iTunes and wait, but it really wasn't bad at all. But then I know what I'm doing so that's not to say it would have been easy for everyone.

And you could say that same thing that Apple sells more of a single phone because they don't give you options (becoming a theme here), since if you want to use iOS you only get one choice. That's the only reason they can claim to sell more of a single phone, while still losing the overall smartphone battle, recently anyway. They were the big dog in smartphones for a few years before Android caught up and passed them.

HTC One. End of story. I immediately have rooted/modded every new phone I have gotten since the Motorola Slvr. Always have bought unlocked. This is the first phone I have not touched at all. Battery lasts me all day (heavy usage) which I was worried about. With my last phone I always carried a spare battery in my pocket. 32 gb of storage is plenty but I still wish I had a SD card slot and that tmobile offered the 64gb variant. Other than the sd card slot I have no problems with this phone. I have no urge or reall need to root it at all. Most likely not until I want to use my phone as a WiFi router without paying TM for the privilege.
