Fuel pumps out:

Close up the power wire, yeah, that's not good:

The relay power wire I originally noticed:

And all finished up (I forgot to take a picture of the new power wire setup, but trust me, it's better haha). I LOVE that I replaced the factory phillips head screws with stainless allen cap bolts, MUCH easier to work with not fearing of stripping them:

Good grief man. If it's not one thing it's another lol. Glad you got it all fixed though.

Oooooh, did you punch it? It helps me sometimes. The computer sucks afterwards, but I feel so much better.

Eric, you need to do something about your anger issues haha. I found out the hard way a while ago you never take out anger on electronics lol (or car fenders...).

Well my car is running great, but it freaking puked oil again into the catch can and sprayed the driver side of the engine when it overflowed. My level is still full on the dipstick, so maybe it was well above the full mark on the dipstick and I didn't notice it? Or somehow my oil system is getting pressurized. My oil also has a very strong fuel odor.

But apparently oil hates being inside my motor, because I also found a large, nearly streaming, oil leak from my Derale thermostat. I feared this would happened. Long story short, I over torqued a fitting into the thermostat and when I removed it the aluminum threads of the thermostat were galled badly. I put some Teflon tape and even RTV on it but I guess it just gave up now and started leaking horribly.

I just ordered a replacement Derale thermostat and I plan on using good RTV on the adapter pieces and not over torquing them into aluminum haha. Other than that, I need to figure out why large amounts of oil keeps getting purged into my properly vented catch can...

The catch can issue has me confounded it shouldn't be putting that much oil in there and not lowering the dipstick unless some other fluid is mixing in with it or you massively overfilled your oil.

Well I'm guessing I massively over filled the oil. I probably just overreacted when on initial startup once the oil cooler pressurized the level dropped drastically, so I added more oil, checked the level, and it still wasn't full, so I added more. It probably just went off the full marker on the stick so I couldn't see it. Or at least that's what I'm hoping haha.

I decided to not skimp out and ordered a Mocal thermostat since it has male -10AN fittings on it, rather than the Derale thermostat which has female 1/2" NTP threads and you thread in adapters, which creates another leak point. Mine is currently leaking very badly from one, but others are seeping some now, so it's just not worth the $80 dollar savings IMO.

I got started pulling off the tb elbow and charge pipe, pulled the catch can, and removed the turbine heat shield so I can pull the downpipe and finally get it fixed. I think I'm going to convert it to a v band connection since the two bolt flange style connection is just too difficult to install with the second bolt being so close to the LIM.

What the hell are you doing now?? You're supposed to moving TOWARD the goal, not away from it. LOL

And people talk about ME working on my car all the time...sheesh. lol Is this another case of 'while I'm in there'? "While I have the exhaust out, I may as well rip out the interior" LOL

Interior redux part 3 is taking place just slightly ahead of schedule....haha.

The main reason is Matt really wanted my JDM back seats, and although I love them, I figure I can get 95% of the functionality of the rear seats without having them, and doing something different. I will elaborate later haha.

But then I decided while redoing the rear seat area, I might as well redo the whole interior (while I'm in there, right?). So I yanked the nasty ### old tan carpet and new black carpeting is going in, along with some other tweaks.

Matt also helped do the interior strip, and we dropped the headliner so I could dye it and we could troubleshoot my sunroof why it wasn't opening or closing. After an hour of screwing with it, we found out it was a partially blown fuse! Ug. But at least now my sunroof is fully functional. Thanks again for the help, Matt!

I can't reupholster my tan leather seats just yet, but they will get done this summer sometime I'm sure. I'm pretty excited to have a basically new interior tho.

Interesting stuff we found under my OEM carpet; lots of loose change- most quarters, gum, a guitar pick, broken glass, and part of a Trojan condom wrapper....yup.
