if you get tired of waiting for exhaust pro's to come back I also recommend the tire/exhaust shop on colfax and peoria. About 300ft west of peoria st. on the south side. I just had 2ft of exhaust pipe welded up to the stock flange for 76$ didn't take long either. Just a suggestion.

near silent at idle, real throaty on start, still whiny up top but im thinking that may be a engine deal

Sounds a lot better under load, too. Sitting still like that isn't great sounding.
