So FedEx FINALLY showed up with some parts.

Defined Autoworks custom v-mount!!!:

Very excited for this kit. The quality looks top notch. Includes all brackets, A/C brackets, radiator hoses, couplers, clamps, all nuts and brackets, and the side ducting. I can't wait to get this installed, but of course I have to wait until the motor is dropped in.

Lastly, Himni Racing (order finally showed up haha) SS master bolt kit:

And motor mounts:

And this surprise in the bag haha:

OK, I'll admit it, I was a little irrational with Himni Racing. They ended up coming through without issue and included everything I ordered, so I am happy. Communication could have/should have been better, and they were pretty slow at getting my order shipped out (over 11 days). But it's alright now.

That's so funny they're sending out Taffy with their orders LOL!!

That VMIC kit looks good. Can't wait to make mine haha. You should wait to install it so I can copy some things for templates haha.

Haha well I have to wait until the motor is built and back in anyways. I'm just going to install all the mounts and rubber isolators so I have to do is drop in the radiator and intercooler, bolt up the ducting, and connector the water lines.

I then need to figure out how I'm doing some of the A/C lines. I found some retro-fit custom A/C lines you can make yourself with a kit (very similar to a AN fitting and hose, not hard line) designed for hot rods. I should only need to make 2-4 lines. I have to move the drier, too, because the intercooler rests against the core support where the drier is currently mounted.

Haha, I was just joking about that. That's the main thing I fear when hooking the AC back up, working the lines and figuring out where to mount the dryer and all that. I figure I'll just copy whatever you do lol.

ALS apex seals came in today. Quick shipping! I was happy.

I pulled the baggie out of the tube and inspected them and they all look good. Eduardo made me nervous about handling them, though, so I put them back in the tube and in the garage they went haha.

Making progress...tomorrow I plan on finishing my dual pump setup (finally, just need to get that electrical bulkhead in and finish the wiring..) and then removing and bypassing the OEM fuel filter above the rear diff.

I then need to get the OEM bumper off and get my A/C evacuated so I can pull the condenser and lines, radiator and fans, and then get the Defined brackets bolt in place.

Sometime after Christmas. Depends on when I can get the rebuild kit, which is the only thing holding me back from stacking the motor right now.

Part of me is nervous about building the engine and then it sitting for a while until it's started. I know as long as I lube the hell out of it and seal all the ports off (which I will) then it should be fine, but part of me wants to minimize risk and wait until late February or March to build the engine.

I also literally got nothing done on the car today. Between going to the gym, doing Christmas shopping with the wife, then some decorating, and now watching football, the car didn't get touched.

There still is some time left so I'm hoping to at least finish up the dual fuel pump setup.

Awesome, I was going to ask if you want to give me a hand stacking the shortblock? Are you going to be around in January?

Yeah, Eric is going to be back around that time too. So we might cruise up there if hes down, stack the cake and then slam a couple beers. I'll be better for me and Eric to be on a 4 day weekend.

^Posted that while I was writing haha. Yeah that's fine, depending on what part of Jan. I might be back mid or possibly even late Jan, not sure yet. But if I'm back I'll definitely come up and help.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it Dave. It won't hurt anything sitting there. I would even go so far as to say you shouldn't have to block off the ports, but it wouldn't hurt. As dry as CO is, I wouldn't worry about corrosion. If you're worried about parts freezing together, that's another concern LOL!! Not really.

Dude, when it gets cold, motivation to work on the car gets soooooo low haha.

That's what I'm afraid of for when I get back. I have a lot to do, especially to get ready for DGRR, but I'm afraid I won't want to work on it haha.

BTW, are you going with us Eduardo? I don't remember if you said or not.
