Driving over the passes and massive potholes took a toll and knock out my aux fan.
Decided it was better to go with a premanent fix for the aux. radiator fan then a temporary fix and toast the motor trying to drive on the cruise and back home. I am planning to come back down and pick up my Ride in time for Street Tuner Mayhem.
Have fun and my the "Car God" keep everyone and their cars safe.
Take lots of pictures.

Sorry to hear you can't make the cruise.

Technically everyone is meeting at Home Depot in Morrison. However, some of us from the springs are heading up to meet there to drive over to the HD. The address Lear jet sent me was:

8585 yosemite st, lone tree co, 80124. He told me that they'll be meeting on the side of the great indoors, which I'm assuming is a building? I dunno, never been this way, so we'll see haha.

Also, Karl, sorry about your car! I was hoping to see your ride! Oh well, there'll be cruises again. Hope you get her fixed.

The Great Indoors is a business with it's own large building and parking lot right at Yosemite and C-470. Do NOT get off I-25 at C-470 if you are going to The Great Indoors first. There is NOT an exit from C-470 onto Yosemite going west on C-470.
The easiest way to get there if you are heading north on I-25:
Take I-25 to the County Line Road exit
Take a left on County Line Road
Go down County Line Road until you hit Chester Street. I think it's the second light and third intersection after getting off. You will see the mall on the left as you are going down County Line. After you go under the highway, there will be a light, then an uncontrolled (no light or stop signs) intersection to turn left into the mall complex. The one after that is Chester St.
Take Chester St until it ends at Yosemite. There will be a small building with a Party City and Memories to Digital in front of you at the intersection.
On your right as you go down Yosemite will be the Great Indoors. Take a right to turn into the parking lot and immediately go right again down the side of the building closest to Yosemite. You should see us there. I'm going to leave around 1PM to get there, and I live like 10 minutes away in bad traffic, so I'll be there nice and early.
Turn left on Yosemite.

White Chocolate Grill is a delicious restaurant in the recent addition to the mall. It's rather pricey though. The food is truly amazing, but it's expensive.

So the cruise today kinda failed! I apologize for that. I guess it's mostly my fault.
We ended up going over Lookout Mountain which I guess some people didn't realize we were doing. Once we got over the mountain out towards Golden, we all got really separated thanks to damn traffic lights. We ended up regrouping for the most part near the casinos, but we still didn't get everyone back. Most people just went home from there I think.

So I'm blaming this mostly on myself because there were a lot of us and it was kinda hard to keep everyone together (that damn traffic light at the end of lookout mountain with the flashing yellow turn signal really pissed me off). And I guess it's also part due to poor planning with not enough people knowing the exact route and not having a plan for if everyone got broken up. So I guess it's time to start planning another cruise, and this time, we'll make it actually work! It was fun though!

It's all good just make sure you have some stops in mind while on the cruise and when we breakoff or call it a day, it's best to pull off somewhere and do our little goodbyes you know. Plan, plan, plan!

Overall, I enjoyed the cruise, recorded 3 parts of the cruise after each stop so I'll have some work to get it all up on Youtube. Some sections may need to be edited as in speed up the recording during the slow parts on the way up to Lookout Mt.

Jon, if you want, I can take lead for some of the cruises since I have prior experience running as a mod on another local forums a little over a year. It's your call.

It doesn't make a difference to me. I just guess I ended up in front again because I planned it and had the route printed out and brought it with me :p

The plan I'm thinking for next time is to have at least 1 person that has the route and knows where to go for every 10 cars (so 1 person who knows and 9 more who can follow), and make sure to get a bit more organized before hand to keep those people where they need to be in the group, and perhaps also have a few places to meet up along the route if groups get separated.

I had fun, though I suppose the logistics got sketchy with so many cars. I arrived with a vague sense of what the plan was, but the expectation I would just stay on the bumper of the car in front of me, haha. Wound up following someone down I-70 then I-25 thinking we were getting food, but they got separated from the core group too, and we both headed home from there. I wonder what the random drivers sharing the road with us today thought as a long line of Mazdas came through. XD

I kept thinking we needed 2-way simplex radio, anyone else here a licensed ham? :]

I had the same hunch from what you said in details.

The original plan was to get something to eat in Boulder, which is what 1/3 of the cruise is doing now at Darkhorse

Actually the plan was to just go through Boulder as sort of a way to coax NoCo people into coming. That didn't really work all that well.

I had a lot of fun today despite the miscommunication and changing the route.
With that said:
6-8 walkie-talkies of the same model would have helped immensely
Going over the route with everyone before we left Home Depot could have lessened the headaches
Some people didn't want to go up to boulder even though it was part of the route, so maybe the group should have split into 2 or 3 groups depending on who wanted to do what.
For the next cruise everyone needs to be committed to knowing and following the entire route or voicing concerns before we ride.
Also 3 or 4 points where we all agree to stop along the route would help make sure no one gets lost or left behind.

There was 6 or 7 of us that left from Black Hawk and stuck with original plan and head to Boulder through Nederland. Turn out to be a great drive with some awesome views and nice turns. There was about a 3-4 mile stretch where we had no one in front of us coming down Boulder Canyon where we were able to get some great turns through the canyon.
