so after lowering my car, and getting some expensive sticky tires im really wanting to get a good alignment so i dont trash my new tires
anyone know of a good (and preferably inexpensive) shop locally?

Roninsoldier just got a custom alignment on his Miata recently. I was wondering how much it cost also. I'm sure it was more than your standard $45 run of the mill alignment. Also that was probably up in Denver as well.

not trying to thread jack, but does it make a difference for manual racks? can all shops do them as well or is it more expensive?

nothing shouldnt matter whether if its manual or powered. price only changes whether you want a 2wheel alignment or 4 wheel alignment. that or you gotta replace shit like tie rods and what not. most shops wont align it if you have bad wheel bearings or seized tie rods for the obvious reasons.
i usually get the 4 wheel since everything thing is adjustable on my car including the rear components. supernow ftw lol

I have a lifetime of free alignments for the FD through Firestone, but when I got it done recently they pretty much told me flat out that they'd only do the stock alignment on the car. However, this was the one on Powers and Stetson Hills, whereas the one down on Academy near Astrozon or somewhere near there, they asked me if I had specific settings, but this was a couple years ago. Not sure if that kid still works there.
Unfortunately my front wheels look like they actually have positive camber, but maybe that's just my eyes playing tricks on me and comparing them to the rear.
I'd really like to get it corner balanced but until it sees the track that seems a bit unnecessary.

since we are in the subject of alignment toe is the only setting that causes massive tire wear while camber only causes uneven tire wear but everyone should know that. if your like me that clears the fenders with an agressive camber setting to clear the fender. flip the tire around when you start to notice wear. it doesnt hurt but somewhat hard to rebalance but thats the tire techs problem to deal with LOL

im not going with too agressive of an alignment, my tires are pricy, and id like to make em last as long as possible but i also want to handle good.
the Factory recommended alignment
FRONT
Caster +4.43° +/- 0.75
Camber 0.4° +/- 0.75
Toe 1/8" +/- 1/8
REAR
Caster not applicable, there is no adjustment possible
Camber -0.72° +/- 0.5
Toe 1/8" +/- 1/8"
and id like to go with something like
FRONT:
Caster +4.7 to +5.5 (what ever the maximum attained is)
Camber -0.6 to -0.8
Toe 1/16" out per side, or 1/8" total toe out
REAR
Camber -1.1
Toe 1/16" in per side, or 1/8" total toe in
but since im running a stock RSB i dont think i even need that much rear toe. and wondering if it would be better to go for 0

It LOOKS like positive camber, but the sheet says otherwise. It says -.6 or so I believe, but compared to the back with around -1.4 or whatever, it looks positive. I'll have to look at the sheet again.

When my Miata was sitting pretty low it got onto the rack at the Brakes Plus in front of Walmart on Palmer Park/Powers with no issues. They have a coupon on their website for getting a 4-wheel alignment for $45. I have not asked if they will do custom settings.
