I know, but I couldn't remember what the other highway was that runs the rest of the way haha.

chickenwafer wrote:Man, Vegas is roughly 800 miles away (from Loveland), that's a pretty good haul, about 12 hours, and good chances of breaking down haha. I want to go, but I got to think about it.

Sleep on it Dave, and then come back and say yes. LOL

I emailed SPA yesterday about the EGT issue and got a response today. They said I could adjust the resolution (0000 instead of 000.0) by going to HR in the menu and turning it off so it would read without a decimal. I did this after work today and fixed the issue.

They also said I could change the temp readings by going to TYP in the menu and changing the setting to tHi (the setting for 1000 degree thermocouple). I did this and it read higher, but only to around 750 degrees or so once warmed up. I noticed in the manual there is another setting called tEh (for extra high, the 1200 degree thermocouple) so I went back through and changed it to tEh and it is reading around 1080 degrees on the front rotor and 1010 degrees on the rear rotor, which is closer to what it was on my old gauge but I'm still not sure how exact it is. I figure I'll datalog my EGTs at some point and compare them to what the gauge is reading. This should work since the sensor wires will plug directly into the datalogging hardware and bypass my gauges.

Now I'm trying to decide if I still want to mess with the water temp and fuel pressure sensors haha.

I just remembered, the water temp and fuel pressure sensor wires are run together and I used some magnets and hose clamps to keep them hidden up under the lip that runs along the firewall at the back of the engine bay. I wonder if the magnets are messing with the readings on those two. I thought about it before I ever started the car and wondered if it would matter, but I forgot all about it.

So I pretty well crushed my diffuser today. Frank, Ian and I were up at Cave of the Winds and as we were leaving I backed into a parking block, apparently pretty bad because only 1 bolt held the driver's side of the diffuser to the car, the other side was dragging completely. So, now I'm either going to try to fix it (well, ZICO will do that most likely haha), buy a new and possibly different one, or leave it off for good. I don't really want to leave it off though, it's so bare back there without it.

Oh and I rebuilt the power steering pump Friday after work because it was still leaking/seeping. It seems to be holding the fluid now though, WOOHOO!!!

Damn parking block.

That sucks about the diffuser. At least you made up for it by fixing your power steering.

FYI, you're not allowed to get the RE Amemyia Street diffuser. I'm getting it damnit!

You know, Simon was mad at me for getting the RE pro diffuser because he wanted it, so he switched to the street diffuser LOL. What is it with you guys getting so touchy about not wanting anyone else to have a single part that you have? lol Simon doesn't want me to get the FEED front bumper either for the same reason haha.

Here is the vid of the crunch.

Wow! When I was in my car, I heard it and was like "oh crap, what'd I hit?" Then I realized I hadn't moved!

Hahaha, that is hilarious that you caught it on video. When I backed into the curb the other day messing up my wheel I looked up at my rear view camera just in time to think "crap, I'm too close to that cur...."

Yeah it was pretty loud, but the case around the camera muffled it quite a bit.

Yeah just so happens that was the first time I ever tried to record anything with the camera and I had just stuck it to the car for the drive down the hill. I should have known the first time I'd try to record something would end in disaster...story of my life haha.

Yeah I liked it too. I might just try to fix it but we'll see.

I gotta say Ian, I don't really care for that diffuser LOL. I've always been partial to the Kenstyle diffuser but I decided on the RE replica. Maybe this is my chance to get the Kenstyle one.

Bawahaha that's awesome you caught it on camera.

I love the Kenstyle diffuser BTW. You have permission to get that one. Haha!

yea with the uras you have to get the whole rear which is a downside not only that you dont rock shopping cart handles which wont really look right with the uras diffuser if you didnt have one.

that kenstyle one is classy, i like.

Yeah I just so happened to mount the camera right before this haha. I think it was meant to be.

Yeah I just don't think the street diffuser would like quite right, it's not aggressive enough, but I'm not looking for quite as aggressive as the Uras one either haha. Now I'm not liking the Kenstyle diffuser any more than the one I had, I really liked what I had, but the Kenstyle is pretty classy and kinda subtle.

Well I wouldn't even mind the Uras bumper and diffuser without the shopping cart wing, but I HATE taking off my rear bumper lol. So, now I just have to decide if I want to fix this one, get the CF version of it, or try to get the Kenstyle one. I'm not sure how it mounts up though.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I guess I'll be adding airjacks to my car...I stopped by the auto hobby shop after work yesterday to use one of their lifts...I can't even swing the arms under my car, it's too low LOL. Or I'll just have to use Frank's every time haha. His is the only one I can drive up on without taking the bumper off haha.
