Yeah, I have jitters, LOL. I believe in the worst in people, yet I continue to buy used parts, especially electronics, because I get suckered by deals. I told myself a hundred times after the last "incident" I was going to buy new, no matter if someone was selling a PFC for $100 bucks...but did I listen? NOPE!!!
I replaced the vac line going to the MAP sensor hoping that would be the issue...it fired up easier and actually staying idling this time, but holy shit it's rough. The engine is visually shaking along with the shifter...it just sounds bad. Still running super lean. I was hoping it was learning my idle so I let it run like this for 20 minuets and nothing changed. I turned on the headlights and the idle dipped to 600rpm and it stalled out.
When I just give it some light throttle movement, the engine sounds very sluggish like it doesn't want to rev at all, and it's not like I'm flooring it, or even giving it more than 10% throttle. At 2500rpm is sounds...weird...like agricultural is the best way to describe it...certainly not right.
Just for verification I swapped the stock ECU back in and she fired right up and idled fine, no nasty vibration or anything, and revved freely. AFR gauge also came back to normal, so that works too.
I'm gonna pick up a serial usb adapter tomorrow and see if this is tune related...I just can't imagine the stock PFC map would run like this? There's no way. I mean, people BOOST on the stock PFC map...
I'll get a known good map on there tomorrow and see what happens...but if nothing changes I'm gonna flip out probably LOL
