Hiya..

Postby christi » Thu Nov 25, 2010 9:14

Guess I never properly introduced myself ..

Recently moved to CO a few months ago... ( I actually fell in love with this area when I came here in the summer time.. I'm kinda disappointed in the winter weather at the moment with no snow ) ... from Boise, ID.

I have owned Mazda's my entire life it seems.... First two I've had were a 1988 GXL RX-7 and a 1991 'vert RX-7. Both are RIP cars... I now own a Mazda 3 2005 & a Mazda RX-7 1990 'vert. I'm pretty big on cars as I've grew up around sports car having a older brother... hm... I'm big into photography, and if you give me a chance, I'd take a million photos of your Mazda's :P (specifically rx-7s..)

I think Ian (Ian1.1) introduced me to the forum from rx7club... but I can't quite remember. Met a few people so far in CO, and from what I can tell - ya'll seem like a good bunch :p

... I believe I shouldn't post on forums when I've had a fairly amount of alcohol consumed :D Anyhow, i'll be lurking more as I learn and get back in the game again :)

Coolness, welcome to Colorado and the CMZC-- I'm new to the club and mazda ownership, myself, but really enjoy my 2010 Mazda3 S hatchback. It's hard for me to imagine wanting to go back to a car that wasn't designed to be fun to drive, now... :) You'll find there are some semi-serious photographers here, be sure to post some of your photos in the forums or gallery section of the site.

FWIW, you'll find real and persistent snow above 8000ft. I'm up near Conifer/Evergreen, wish I could send you some of mine, sometimes. :) I moved to Colorado from Pennsylvania in 2006, mostly wanted to be somewhere with mountains and sun, but not to far from a city/metro, four years here, can't really imagine a better place for me in general. :)

Edit: I'm less semi-serious, but use a Pentax K10D, which I generally use with a SMC Pentax FA 43mm f1.9 lens and a B+W circular polarizer. It's competent, but I don't have any super high-end glass.

Haha that's where the "edit" and "delete post" options come in handy, I have a bad habit of doing that...

welcome!
yeah id like to see some pics of your cars, its a pretty good site, alot less drama around than most forums, haven't really seen anyone flamed for any reason so yeah id agree with the whole good bunch statement.

im one of those semi serious photographers chromal is referring too i might have to get you to show me some tricks about shooting cars, im good with nature not to much with vehicles...

Dange,
Oh my god. I love your camera set. A hell of alot better than mine.

I'm working with a Nikon D40 and a Fuijifilm Fine Pix F31FD for my point and shoot. My Nikon has only one extra lens as all I can afford right now - the telephoto 55-200mm lens. I really want macro, as I do a TON of shots.

Here's some of my work...

This is actually taken with my old Canon PowerShot A80, I miss it - gave it to my parents.

My F31FD:

& then my Nikon:

One of my favorite ones (I have a few) taken with my 55-200 mm lens. Shot from my old apartment 200mm away back when I lived in Boise ID.

And some other shots , of random things... is there a place to actually show off some photos, or is it just the lounge?

Also, stealth :) thanks! You too.

I use the same camera but mostly with the nifty fifty 50mm/f1.4
