Minor update...

Eric stopped by (thank you again!!) and we were able to get the intercooler swapped, CAI off, short shifter plate removed. I need the TIP to go any further as well as the stupid plate the stock air box clips in to, which I have all lined up to get today or tomorrow.

After that its the front motor mount, test pipe, boost gauge, parrot bluetooth...and I think thats about it. I'm going to leave the diff mounts, tranny mount and rear motor mount on as I was informed from the service manager at Sil-Terhar those won't really matter at all (and probably won't even be seen!). So here's to another successful day of swapping parts to get back to stock!

no...it was the first mazda ecu ever they havent been able to recover. all of their engineers looked at it and worked on it with no success. all of them where pretty bummed about it. regardless, if mazda wont replace it under warranty cobb is still gunna take care of me, so i'm told.

ok, so got everything back to stock minus the race pipe since i couldnt get under the car. at this point im kinda outa time lol. i have work tonight and tomorrow during the day. maybe i can talk the dealer into putting on a lift real quick and let me swap it out fast lol. if not we'll see what happens. i'm to the point now where i'm hesitant to put anything back on the car once its fixed. oh well, got some time to think about it i guess.

Let me know if you need help still. IDK if the MS3 TIP will fit but you can use mine if you need. Looks like you already have some help but if that falls through...

I'm all back to stock minus some mounts and the car is at the dealer. Just got word they're gunna replace the ecu under warranty, just gotta get both sets of keys up to them, doing that now.

Yeah its great news! Once they get the ecu installed and the car running they'll take a look at the VVT noises I was hearing and hopefully fix that as well.

And Randy if Mazda wouldn't have replaced it, Cobb would have paid the tab, so either way I wasn't out any cash :)
