Gabriels is awesome. That's all I got to say about dat!

Ha ha, yeah... I know absolutely nothing about wine. I can't say as I've ever purchased a bottle at the LQ for more than $20, and that's splurging! I'm talking like $5-10, if I do.

I felt like a goob asking for a beer. I didn't see one beer in sight:mad:

So..... I couldn't justify paying $10++ for one single glass (that I couldn't even tell was good or not)

Maybe I need to try 3 Margs again:huh:
I had it a few years back and vowed never to return.

Oh yeah, Blue Bonnet was the one on Broadway. They make a good chile relleno

With all of the wineries around the World you can get some pretty damn good wines for $20 and under. I try to avoid buying bottles of wine like the plague when we are going out to dinner. The markup on wine is rediculous, somewhere in the 200% to 300% range on average.

As for good places to eat, Opus One in downtown Littleton is pretty good, a little expensive for a nice place, but good food nonetheless. One of the best places I have ever been is in San Fransisco. It's called Fluer de Lys and will cost an arm and a leg, but it is the best meal I have ever eaten.

Good to know:)
For whatever reason, I've always been kind of partial to Covey Run (from Washington)- cheap and good, just the way I like it;)

I haven't tried Opus yet, but intend to. It was actually one of my options in the past, but chose Cafe Terracotta instead.

tut, perhaps you should visit, review Jimmy's place.

Might I suggest not coming in on the weekends. Too packed to get the best service possible but food is still great. Mondays you risk getting Katy as a server. Remember we are open 7-3 M-Sa and 7:30-3 on Sun

Yeah. I think 3 Margaritas also raised their prices but the food is better than what it was.

Blue Bonnet does make a one of the best Chile Rellons I've had. I love their chips and Salsa. Always gotta take a big bucket of Salsa home.

Little Anita's also has good Mex food on the cheap side. You even get a Sopapilla (SP?) with your meal. The only one know of is on Colorado blvd. and Florida. But they do have more locations. They've won 5280's best Mex food in Denver several times.

Nope. Your general Greasy Spoon. Breakfast/Lunch/Diner served ALL day. (7am-3pm "All Day";)) We do have Gyro Sandwiches and do add the Gyro meat into our breakfast stuff aswell.

Edit: Why are we using periods as colons?

yes it is real Gyro Meat. We buy the actual cones that you sometimes see spinning on the rotisserie. But instead of having it spin round and round we bake it in the oven then slice it real thin. Best Gyros I've ever had in CO.

Other places use pre-coocked loafs and sometimes even pre-coocked/pre-sliced stuff. Doesn't compare.

Merle's:
http://www.merlesoflittleton.com/

In search of a decent burger, we gave this place a try. I have to say, after driving past it on a handful of separate occasions, I noticed that it was always bustling with people (including people waiting outside for a table). So we gave it a shot-

First impression: Pretty cool layout and 'vibe'. Casual place to go hang out and enjoy the nice weather. They have four garage doors that open up to the outside, which makes things pretty nice.

The food: We had a burger (cooked exactly as we asked) and a pulled pork sandwich-- they're cook is from a bbq place (Carolinas?). Both we're excellent! I'd definitely go back. The service was great too, and the food is decently priced... about $9-12 a plate.
