I assume you did this already, Erod?
I read about some people getting a whinning noise after doing this...

I had MT90 in my transmission prior to its rebuild. It was in the transmission when McDonald tore it apart. The dealer made no comment about fluid being an issue in regards to warranty work.

I had no noticeable whining noise with the fluid. I still have about 3.5 quarts of the stuff left if you want it.

Oh snap. Good to know Tim...good to know.
If you retain ownership of said fluidz, and as the tech day continues to unfold/happen/etc., I will request a MT90 status update from you.

I got a meeting with MOL tomorrow to work on the Club Calendar.

Any request or questions you want me ask Troy while I'm there?

Can you ask him: Does the recall on Mazda 3 and 5 power steering now include Mazdaspeed 3s? Several of us MS3 owners got letters about the recall but I can't find anywhere that says it includes Speed 3s as they have a different steering pump than the regular 3 and 5.

I'm missing the plastic push-in pin that holds the interior passenger kicker corner panel (took it out to wire the stereo a little while ago). I've tried ordering it from MOL but I can never get the right piece. It's next to the door speaker, so it rattles when I play my hippity hop music. I am very willing to shell out the $2 or whatever it costs to get the right piece.

Do you have any idea what the street value of this mountain is?

Sorry, /threadjack over.

Posted this in the other thread and I might as well post it here.

So yesterday I asked Troy at MOL and nothing popped up for the MS3 for this. She said that it may be in Mazda's main system and that you should call in with your VIN. It should show up then even though it doesn't show up anywhere else on the owners site or anything. So if anyone is curios call in to MOL and give your VIN so they can check.

Can I just use their lift? That would be sweet.

Talked to Troy and the Techs are willing to put our Rides on the lifts to take a look and check things out. Or if just to take pics. lol.

They will have three service techs available for 4 hours to answer questions, check things out, etc...

They will tailor the tech day to what our needs are. So questions, request and ideas will help make the most of the day. So keep them coming.

1.) Can someone define "diagnostic"? What's involved? What does that include?
I assume checking for a boost leak would fall under this category?

2.) If we'd like a fairly simple, non-time consuming, item taken care of-- can we post up what we'd like done and get a [discounted] price?

For example:

2008 MS3: tranny fluid change (labor only; fluid supplied by customer)

One thing that would be cool to check out, is to see if I have an exhaust leak from the TP. Saturday is going to be cool beans.
