Another nice FD for sale. Very low miles for an FD, only 40k miles for $21.5k:

And even better, a '93 with with only 30,500 miles for $19k:

Wow, lots of FD's popping up for sale. Prices are a little strong on those despite the mileage, especially the red one.

Yeah. And I've never actually seen anyone out on the roads here in an FD. I've seen one parked somewhere off Alameda between University and I-25. But I've never actually seen anyone out driving one. Hopefully these cars go to good homes.

I'm still curious to know if the FD that was for sale for 21.5k that was built and was 500+ whp is still for sale. I don't see it on craigslist.

I've only ever seen ONE FD out on the road (other than going to a Mazda meet or hanging out with friends that own them), I'm talking about pure chance. These are rare cars, less than 10,000 are currently registered in the country.

And another member's TII is for sale (I can't remember his name, he also has a white 8 I think and joined not too long ago):

I wish I could afford an FD. I could easily get about 1.5k soon (well, probably going to be selling a couple of laptops, MBP and an HP along with what I get for my birthday). Even if I fixed up the minor issues with my 6, I would still be a few grand short for that one that's 10.5k.

You're overlooking the more important fact here. FD's are very impractical cars and your 6 is a practical car. I would never recommend anyone own an FD as a primary car in our climate.

Furthermore, FD's break all the time and parts usually aren't cheap and are never readily available. You can't exactly go to NAPA and get the replacement part. So if you have to scrimp and save to buy one you're asking for trouble. Coupled by the fact you WON'T find a mechanic (and forget dealers) that can work on it, you better know how to do the work yourself. Oh, and the insurance is expensive, it guzzles gas, etc.

Not trying to be an *** or anything, but I wanted an FD when I was your age, and I'm glad I waited.

Oh I know it's nowhere near practical for Colorado nor is it as reliable as most. But I mean, I've got less than 18 months left until I'm off to college. I won't be going anywhere where an FD would be practical, but I probably won't be bringing a car to school anyways. Whether it's a 6, an FD, or anything else, in about 15 or so months, whichever car I have will turn into a car to enjoy while at home over the summer and for a week or so at a time when I'm home for winter and spring break. I still want one :p

I would probably get a turbo kit before I would get an FD (yes, turbo kits are once again available for the 6 ;)). $2600 as opposed to $10000+, and still fun. Go on all you want about it not being a wise decision :p Either way, neither is likely to happen any time within the next 10 years :p

I'm betting he forgot a 1 at the beginning of that price and it's supposed to be $13,500.

I would certainly hope so... Almost tempted to contact him and inquire about the price.

He either forgot a 1 in front of the price or it's a scam. The description leaves a lot be desired as well leading me to think it's a scam or a tard selling it (which supports either scenario).

Holy cheap FD, Batman!
http://pueblo.craigslist.org/cto/2284400816.html

I have a feeling that it is a scam, but if it isn't someone should seriously snatch that up as long as it doesn't have any major issues!
