Hello! I just escaped the deep south and found this wonderful place called Colorado.

I brought with me my 2002 Mazda Miata (Emerald Mica), which is stock except for Ohlins Road & Track coilovers (which I adore).

The cracked front bumper has since been replaced.

Autocrossing with some pals back in Louisiana on black 949racing 6UL wheels.

My first time up Pikes Peak. An unforgettable experience!

About a month ago I bought this 1988 Mazda 323 GTX for winter use. I kind of sort of really love it.

Image
The exterior is a bit rough, but a respray next summer should do a whole lot to remedy that.

Image
The interior, however, is in excellent shape. The driver's seat even has adjustable side bolstering! The seats are just fantastic.

I love the gradient upholstery. It's so perfectly 80s.

Looking forward to meeting some of y'all in person.

Thanks, all! I think I'm done with autocross for this season. Tight budget and I need to replace bushings on the Miata. The race I went to at Front Range Airport a month or two ago was a blast, though. I'll definitely be there next season.

Come January, though, and I think I'm going to see how the GTX does at ice racing.

Were you in north Denver/Westminster on Sunday?

I saw a nice Miata very similar to yours. Thought it might be you. I believe you turned South from 128th Ave, but not positive.

Let's see, on the 19th I drove the Miata through the mountains, then south on 67 to Colorado Springs, then back to Denver on I-25. I don't think I ventured north into Westminster. I still have my Louisiana plates for the time being, so that should be a pretty good giveaway it's me!
