That's a loose use of the term Denver, though correct.

Castle Rock has no dodgy parts...at least that I can see from the turrets of my castle.

Littleton is a great place. I would live there were it not a need for my wife to commute across to the DTC.

He really does have a castle folks. Soon, I'm sure he'll upgrade to a 4-car garage:rolleyes:

This was the type of house I was looking at. It doesn't have the interior pics up here, but it has the usual granite, etc..

I like to think there is not. We live on the edge of Centennial/Parker right now, and due to the proximity, most of our kiddos sports leagues happen in Parker's district. It's a pretty nice town in my estimation, and where we'll probably be living here soon to keep them close to their school.

+1

Parker is quite nice. Property taxes are high iirc. Depending on exact locale, it may just take a bit longer to get out to a main artery/eatery/tomfoolery, etc.

My suggestion (and what we found):

- Castle Rock: Too far south
- Parker: Nice, but can be pricey and high taxes (not as many ammenities)
- Littleton: Nice (my hometown), but does tend to have older homes (higher maint.) and can have ghetto areas-- if not ghetto neighbors.
- Englewood: no thanks
- Aurora: No. Absolutely not.
- Centennial: Mebe.
- Denver: uhhh, no.
- Lone Tree: Yes, but can't afford it.
- North of Denver: No, too far north.
- Westminster: Nice, too far west (hence the 'west' minster)

You have kids and drive a mini van. You want something nice (area, ammenities, rec centers, proximaty to things. Just sell-out and move to Highlands Ranch-- high enough priced to keep out the rubbish- but still affordable.

EDIT: Re: rubbish. In full disclosure, rubbish has begun making entry...more and more on a daily basis (rentals and such too.)

Well, I have kids, and I used to drive a minivan. LOL! Highlands Ranch left a bad taste in my mouth when I was house hunting there. Castle Rock may still be a serious option, since we will travel to the springs about every weekend or so.

Bad taste? Yup, that's the Ranch. I love it for that very reason, heh.

Don't get me wrong, I like to shop there. It just looks all the same, but I guess that is the point.

Well, if that's your reasoning- then that isn't specific to HR. Cookie cutters are everywhere. Catch 22- you have to live in an older home/neighborhood...or pay to play.

Tut's assessment is pretty much spot on.

What didn't you like about the Ranch? I'm just curious since I sort of still live there.
