LOL My husband thinks he is the king of rotaries, he often rehashes his glory days to me. *rolls eyes*. I think he is getting senile.

Oh I left Illinois in 1990 when I moved to Missouri, and I left there in 1996 when I graduated HS.

Well I'll listen to his tales of rotary grandeur if he wants to hang out sometime lol. I can talk rotary for hours.

Oh yeah, it's changed unfortunately. How southeast MO were you? I lived in Paragould AR during my HS years. That is a hop skip and a jump down 412 from MO.

LOL I think he misses them sometimes (rotaries) He wont get rid of his housing and rotor from is old FD. I told him to get it powdercoated, and I'll make it into a clock. I wish he would get an FD again. That has to be the prettiest 90's car ever made lol. Do you do any track, drag or autocross racing? I would love to film your car (maybe get a ride in it?)

I was in Cape Girardeau. I had family that lived in Memphis if I remember right, not sure if they still live there.

Yeah I'm kinda planning on making a clock out of some of my old parts too. That and a coffee table haha. I believe there are a few FDs for sale if he wants one. And now is the time to buy, you can get them pretty cheap. I haven't done any racing or anything with it yet. I always planned to, but I've discovered recently that I'll need some racing seats in order to do it because I'm 6'3" and can't fit with a helmet lol. I'll give you a ride in it, I just gotta finish breaking in the new engine before having "fun" with it lol.

The old SEMA Mazdaspeed3 made me in love with white. Sans the stickers, that is what I want my car to look like.

WOW you are tall lol! We will have to fix the no racing problem! lol. I'm curious to see how the altitude affects the Spyder. I know FI helps, but I'm still worried it's going to be a dog. If it is, it may be time to sell it, and get another FD. My mazdaspeed feels slow up there, but I hope to fix that. :(

Yea the altitude really saps the power. My MS3 was nearly fully bolted (stock turbo) and only put down 250hp at the wheels (uncorrected). So I traded it in on the Mustang which also loses a ton of power up here but even with the loss puts down quite a bit more.

Yeah, the first time I drove it there I was like :o :6ff4efab: It's so sad, but I guess everyone has the same disadvantage. It's still sad. It wouldn't be so bad, but I know what my car feels like out of elevation.

The big advantage you get is over older V8s. It's not going to help you much against 2011+ Mustangs or 2010+ Camaros, but like the previous generation F bodies are way slower up here and a nicely modded turbo 4 can take down a V8. So while your cars will take a hit, it's not as big of a hit as a naturally aspirated car takes.

Yeah, my husband warned me of that. That was one of the reasons I picked the MS3 as my next car. The day that I was in a wreck (not my fault by the way, so no women driver jokes), we found out that my husband got the CO job. Although, my old Honda Odyssey didn't lose too much power when I took it to the springs, surprisingly. Oh and BTW, 99-04 mustangs (except the terminator) are slow everywhere, it isn't an elevation thing. LOL!
