I would wait until 100k to do any major maintenance.
Obvious stuff:
-oil and filter change
-coolant flush
-transmission oil change
-rear-end differential oil change
-new spark plugs
I would also do new coil packs (around $30 each) and spark plug wires, or upgrade to LS2 ignition coils. The factory coils are weak and blow out.
Other than that, not too much more to do to a rotary. No timing belt to replace, no valves to adjust tension on, etc.
