Can I ask why you chose to do the bumpers in a matte black instead of a glossy black to match the rest of the car?

For sure...springs next, then shoes. Motegi Traklites. I can't decide if I want 16's or 17's though...

I chose matte black for a couple reasons. For one, I personally like the look of matte black. Also, I had to replace the rear bumper, and it came in a black primer, so I put it on and with the blacked out emblems I kinda liked it. My front bumper was/is in terrible shape just from the gravel around here, so it needed to be redone. It was a risk, but I like how it turned out. Still have work to do on the front bumper, but it looks pretty clean to me.

Well i suppose thts a question of wanting to look better or save more money...IMO 17's would look beautiful on tht car, 16's might be too small but u would obviously save more money on tires in the long run. Again, just my opinion :)

Nah, not a money thing. Just that sometimes I see imports around and the rims look too oversized. I'm thinking along your lines and that 17's will be the right choice. Thank you for the input.

Eibach Pro Kits should be here any day. I also odered up some rally armor flaps today. I like the look, and with all the rocks, gravel, snow, ice, etc they should actually serve a purpose.

I really like how the flaps look when they're on a lowered car too. I just got the cheap set. If they work out well, I might go for the higher end set. I didn't want to spend $100 on something like that until I was certain. I ordered the $20 thinner set. Should still work just fine, but probably won't last as long.

Noticed you were asking about tire fitment elsewhere- my 215/40/17s don't rub with Eibach lowering springs.

Oil/filter change (2 quarts low on arrival...oops), PCV valve change, and fuel system clean out (Grease Monkey).

I think I went close to 100,000 miles on these! NASTY!

Decided to go ahead and get new coil packs and wires as well. Nothing fancy, just OEM stuff. The car drives and idles like new again!

This turned out really nice. I haven't touched the engine bay since 2003 other than the mods. It looks like a different engine!
