LOL! I used to live in Southern California, and we would go to about 15 Dodger's games a year. My sister was part of the Dodger booster club.

Now days, I'm a die hard Rockies fan...one day, it will happen!

Lower control arm bushings replaced. Sway bar bushings replaced courtesy of Groove Mazda in Centennial, CO.

Blown Tokico HP on the front passenger side. :( gotta try to get a replacement from Tokico.

So...in the last week, I have completely sealed up the Megan exhaust (what a piece of shit that turned out to be). I just had the guy cut out the flanges and weld everything to one piece.

I received and installed the replacement Tokico Blue. I still cannot get rid of my sway bar clunk. I bought brand new end links when I installed the Tokico Blues.

Out of ideas and desparate for a solution, I have replaced just about every mount available on the car and it still happens (mounts needed replacing). Transmission mount on the driver's side, front motor mount, and right motor mount. Also, the sway bar bushing are brand new, and lower control arm bushings are brand new.

Now I have another new end link coming in today, as well as, the rear motor mount which is going to be a bitch to replace. I'll try that... If that doesn't work, there might be a P5 for sale here soon! j/k LOL!

Have you checked the ball joints?

I just got the same advice from someone else. I think I would have to replace the entire lower control arm, because I don't think they sell the ball joints separately for the P5.

I think we are on to something here...

Thank you!

ball joints will clunk when they are bad.

Rock auto has the BECK/ARNLEY control arms for $60.

That really isn't a bad price.

I have an appointment at Groove in Centennial on 9/5/11. Mazda may replace the right LCA at no cost. They replaced the LCA bushings and told me that the sound was fixed. I drove it about 30 feet and turned around. I think the new bushing put more pressure on the bad ball joint. Anyway, the tech didn't know where it was coming from. They replaced my sway bar bushings at no cost which was really cool.

I figure if you are a mechanic and you pull a control arm off, you should probably notice a bad ball joint, but maybe not. Anyway, Groove is being pretty cool, and this should take care of the issue.

Nice! I'll have to swing by one of these days and say hi! But...I'm going to wait until my car doesn't make embarrassing noises anymore. Fingers crossed that should be tomorrow. I've officially been spotted!

Mazda moved up my appointment because the 5th is Labor Day. Awesome!

Groove Mazda came through this morning. Finally, my car is running better than ever without any funky noises!

Now I am motivated to finish up the body work and get my flaps put on.

It ended up being a loose passenger side lower control arm. Ball joints ended up being fine. When they replaced my LCA bushings, they didn't tighten down the rear bold of the passenger side LCA. It's tight now and all I want to do is go drive around!

Pure AWESOMENESS!!!!!

Yeah...I haven't made it to any cruises yet.

I actually just started on my Protege this summer. Now I'm about done. Calling in some body work, and once that's done, its rims and I'm finished.

I'd be down to cruise finished or not. We should do a fall Guenella Pass cruise. Just head up the I-70 side then back down. Most of that is freshly paved!

Talked the wife and daughter into taking a drive yesterday. Not any crazy driving, but the car did awesome, and the scenery was beautiful...
