New guy from Texas!!!

Postby Ryanmmacoustic » Wed May 19, 2010 9:14

Hello,

My name is Ryan. I'm 23. I will be moving to Loveland on Sunday the 23rd.
I drive a 2004 Mazda3 Hatch Black Mica.

My current mods are:

TWM Short Shifter
Speed3 Shift Knob
Tein S Tech Springs
Injen Cai
Tinted Side markers
Tinted reflectors
Tinted taillights
6k DDM Tuning HID Kit
HD Lip
Xenonexpert Pedals
superbrightleds.com red interior lighting
rear wiper delete mod
Mazda delete grille
Mazdaspeed3 front struts
Ebc greenstuff brake pads
I had COBB speed3 sway bars but I sold them to get the Hotchkiss ones

upcoming mods:
Vibrant Exhaust
Hotchkiss Sway Bars
GTSpec trunk brace kit
GTSpec front strut tower bar
RX-8 wheels or some other 18" wheel

i'm really excited to be moving to Colorado! My family lives in Loveland so it will be good to be with them again.

I am heavily active in our dfwmazdas.com forum. We hold a weekly thursdy night meet and I helped organize several cruises and photoshoots. I'm excited to jump into another group full of enthusiasts.

What else...... I play disc golf alot. I really really really like music, all genres.
I have a Boxer/ Pitbull mix named Max, he is a special needs dog(partially deaf and he is mentally handicapped-lol)

Anything else you want to know just ask!!!
Can't wait to meet all of yall.

Another 04 hatch!! Yay!!

Welcome! I live just north of where you will soon be. I may have some questions about mods you've done since I'm just now getting the funds to mod my car. :)

Ask away. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you, or anyone else, have. And if I don't know the answer, I can find out for you

Did you do the LED stuff yourself? I'm not sure if you switched out the stock LED setup and added your own color scheme. I've been looking at doing that but after seeing the step by step it seems a bit daunting.

Oh it's sooo easy. You just buy the bulbs from superbrightleds.com and they swap out perfectly with the stock bulbs. I replaced the dome light, map lights, and trunk/hatch lights. There is no extra wiring or anything.

Oh, you did something different than what I'm looking at. I'm looking at actually replacing the LEDs behind the instrument panel and audio stuffs.

Love them! I have the Tein S-Techs on my 08 Speed 3 and I think its too much of a drop, the ride is too rough, its basically twice the drop as the Cobbs. IMO Cobb makes the nicest springs for the speed 3.

Yeah i know a couple guys here who have the COBB springs. I love them I think they are phenomenal. I like my s-techs. But I'm thinking I may have to switch to COBB springs when I get to Colorado. Not sure how well my car is going to do in the snow with how low I'm sitting right now. Lol
