So.. I've had my CX-7 for 3 years now. I've been hanging out at other Mazda and CX-7 related forums. Didn't realize there was a Colorado Mazda forum.
I found this place by doing a google search.. Trying to find out what happened with Burt Mazda and Groove and if anything is changing....
I have a gray 2007 Mazda CX-7 Grand Touring. My wife's car is a Saab(aru) 92-X Aero Red 2005 (basically the same as a Subaru WRX).
I'm probably going to be selling her Saab in the summer or fall and getting another car. Giving her my Mazda. I wanted to get another smallish SUV, Wagon car with plenty of power and AWD.
I'm waiting to see if there is anything new with the 2011 CX-7, or possibly something else (CX-9?).. I like the Subaru awd system, but I hate Subaru interior stuff. I was considering a Toyota RAV4 or Venza too..
I'm in Parker, CO and use my CX-7 to go up to the mountains skiing almost every weekend. Works great in the snow with snow tires..... (regular tires suck).

Make sure your wife enjoys driving the turbo car before you give it to her. Mine REALLY wanted a CX-7 until she drove it. Then she hated boost and ended up with a CX-9.
If you guy a 9, do NOT get the 2007 model.
And welcome to the club!

She is driving a Saab 92-x right now. Basically the same car as a Subaru wrx. 2.0 liter with turbo. Talk about Turbo lag. That car is much worse than the CX-7.
I was wondering what people think of cars that are the same HP (around 250) normal 6 cylinder vs. turbo 4. I was under the impression that the turbo car would lose less power in the mountains. Not sure if that is true. I drive in the mountains a lot.
