Wife and I have 4 Miata's (and a 5th in parts). We have had about 10 or so Miata's thus far. I also bought a 93 Festiva (Mazda design) that is getting a B6T swap. Got the motor from a Merc Capri (Mazda design as well). Can't wait! Photos to come...

Since I was the first of my family/friends to get a Miata (for the wife actually), I am now the guru. Parents are on their 2nd, buddy now has one, and another buddy I met had me help built a turbo kit from scratch. Definately great cars!

WOW!! Did you say 10 Miata's? I might need to hit you up when I start putting mine back together. I started tearing mine apart and won't be awhile till I put it back together. I am afraid I wont remember when it is time.


Do you race any of them?

Yeah... The addiction started with a blue 91. Then got a white 91 in much better shape. Before I could even get white car on the road, we had a black 99. The wife has kept the 99 for 3 years now. Really enjoys it.

Since then, it has been:

Black 96 with mild mods that has been sold
Red 94 factory that has been sold
Another Red 94 that is nicely built which I still drive
Red 94 that was stripped
Black 92 which we still have.
Black 95 R package that we sold over the summer
Black 90 which sold recently
White 90 which is undergoing "rehab"

I guess that is 11. Very possibly I forgot one as well. Not to mention I have had piles of parts along the way from friends, family, salvage yards...


My built Red 94 will see the track sooner or later. This off season it is getting a lightweight flywheel, better clutch, and a better trans. Already has intake, exhaust, 1" lower springs, shocks, sway bars, strut bar, vented/drilled rotors, optional chrome factory wheels, roll bar, recent top with glass zip window, red gauge set, and clear marker lights.

Some pics of the Festy when I brought it home about 8 weeks. $200 in all its glory! Got the motor/trans from the salvage yard for $200. $400 will get a screaming sub-14 second 1/4 mile!

Nice collection! Want another? I have neighbors selling the Miata below soon. I don't know specifics (year, mileage, etc) yet, but when I do, I will post them in the For Sale section.

Hoping that the Festy turns out to be fast. Saw video of a 323 and I don't think the Festy can get close to what this does:

Running in the high-12's is probably more realistic. Still lots of fun!

I certainly hope that I can share. I get to be the resource for all the friends and family with Miata's! Working on fixing the timing belt on a 1990 project Miata right now. Always something to tinker with.

I should also mention that I am currently seeking employment. Got laid off when the job moved to NJ.

I am looking for work in a data analyst type of role. Recent MBA from CU. My background has been in transportation and healthcare, so I could be a natural fit into an analyst role in either area. Obviously though, data is data, so an analyst role in another industry would work as well.

In the interim, I am everyone's favorite Miata mechanic/advisor.
