Hello All!

I was referred to this after posting in our little section on the club.

Little info on me...

93 MB FD
currently in pieces... replacing some mangled pieces after a buddy "stored it" for me while I was deployed (read: found under 3" of snow and leaves)

owned since 2007... rebuilt 3 rotaries... still not an expert on these damn things

love to play with the cars tho... only been a gear head since I got my fd... so if you're a pro and want a tool gopher or someone to help pull the engine and don't mind an stream of questions about this or that... look me up.

Also...I'm a photographer for the military... running a canon 30D at home and Nikon d1s at the shop. I wouldn't mind trying my hand at some car photography in the area.

Thanks

-E

AWESOME!!! ANOTHER rotary/FD owner, AND in the Springs. Zico, this group is coming together haha.

Also cool that you want to learn.

Sounds like they're not really a "friend". What branch are you in? I'm in the AF and I'll be back from deployment in under 40 days now, WOOHOO!!

I'm sure we'll be doing LOTS of maintenance in the next year. I know I'll be doing some things on my car still, you're more than welcome to hang out and learn, and help if you want too.

And since my body work and paint will be fresh when I get back (if Zico and Sean finish it like they say! haha), I was actually going to look for someone to take some professional type pics.

Welcome!

thanks for the welcome! Yes I know how to poster size photos. No I can't print postersize (shop doesnt have a large format printer yet)

I'm in the Army @ Ft. Carson.

I'm always down to help out and learn and I'd love to get some real practice on auto photography

Sounds like we are all going to benefit from each other haha. We have another friend over on Carson, he has a black FD but it's been down for a few months and he's getting ready to deploy soon. Simon Marques. I don't remember where he works though, 112BN I think, not sure. Zico (Carbonzeven) could probably tell you. As far as help, I'll be adding water injection, pulling the engine to paint the engine bay, painting the engine, possibly re-routing my intake piping, putting a new turbo kit in (when I get back), and probably several other things this year. And I think Zico needs help too, at least to get his windows in and working HAHA. We always have folks that need help. And I'll definitely be down to let you practice photos on my car...it's OK, I won't charge you. HAHAHAHA. Just playin.

Very nice. We are hoping to do a 2010 Mazda calendar, so keep the shutter going.

Welcome! I'm interested to see all the FDs we have...seems like most of them are down south. I'd love to have a boosted tri-rotor pushing 400+ whp...

Tokyo got his running again? Awesome. I was just wondering about that. I wouldn't hold my breath on having us all at one meet though HAHA.

I'd say with a BOOSTED 3 rotor you could get alot more than 400 whp. There is an NA 4 rotor putting out 400+.

Sorry to hijack OP, I'm just so excited HAHA.

Wow, sounds like we have a lot of friendly people here, nice change from some other forums!

If this weekend proves to be as nice as the weatherman promises, I'll probably go scout some locations, if anyone has any thoughts as to nice vistas, let me know!

I don't mind my threads being hijacked, all conversations tend to tangent anyway!
