2nd car, first in 6 years!

Postby Stories » Mon Dec 01, 2008 9:14

Hey everyone! Discovered CMZC from a Google search for Mazda3 enthusiasts :)

After living in Boston for the past 6 years, I've moved back out to Colorado. I previously owned a 2001 Toyota Corolla when I was in high school. Now that I'm 6 years worth of education in debt (or smarter, take your pick), I finally picked up the car I've been eyeing since it first came out: the Mazda3!

I just got a new '09 3 GT Hatchback 5-speed! Loving the fact it's a brand new car, and loving everything about it. First off the bat is to get a window tint (I've heard Eclipse Tinting tossed around here a bit). Aside from that, I'm not sure what else I'll do. I'm pretty content with it! I'm not currently planning on doing a whole lot to the car.

0% financing, ftw!

Metropolitan Gray Mica
Moonroof/Bose
Front Air Dam
Chrome Fuel Door (kind of silly, but this was the only hatch 5-speed GT they had)
Wheel locks
Autodim mirror with Homelink

Sorry for the crummy pictures!

Yeah, I graduated high school in 2002, so I used the car for two years before my sister earned it. Oddly enough, I feel old when I talk to other folks out here... :o

Grr... I've already got two separate rattles in my cabin. I think I've got what is described as the windshield squeak (I think I saw something on Mazda3forums.com which described it and there's a Mazda fix for it) and there's a sound coming from my passenger side which I can't seem to narrow down. It's not the glove box, it's not the center console. And I'm not sure what else it could be...

Not sure what the second rattle you are having could be, but there is a fix through mazda for windshield rattle. Let us know if you figure out what the other is.
