Hi all! Nick Leone handed me a card at the last rmsolo race, so I thought I'd check out the site.
I've been a Mazda owner for many years, starting with a auto 92 626 DX I bought in 95, and sold last month with 309k miles on the original engine
Next was a 5spd 93 Protege DX that I used as a reliable, economical commuter from 01-04.
I bought my current 5spd 90 Protege LX last fall, which, with its DOHC motor and 4 wheel disks, is a huge improvement over the DX. It currently only has 106k miles, and the paint, body and interior are in great shape- straight, no rust, and it hasn't succumbed to the rampant "early 90s white Mazda paint flake off" syndrome.
I started autocrossing last fall, and love it! I run HS. So far, I've upgraded with KVR pads, Corksport SS brake line (stock legal for 92 and older), 2 sets or used R-compounds on stock steels, NGK plugs and wires, and Enkei alloys for the all seasons. MSP adjustable struts are on the way....

Nice. Welcome. I had an automatic 91 626 LX.
Glad to see more autoxers signing up. I was once heavy into it while living in Kansas. I was the region Solo chair for awhile and served on the BoD. Now with the little kids running around (well, only ONE is running) I've been taking a small "leave of absence". I plan on getting back into it once they get older though.
