I'll give you a head start http://denver.craigslist.org/car/600245294.html

That is a complete stage 3 package. Trust me, it will pull on 90% of anything on the road that tries. It's no joke, 0-60 under 4 sec' My Zetronics best 0-60 3.6. No BS.
There's actually three stage 3's on CL in Denver. I have never seen a Stage 3 for sale. Most people take the mods off and sell them seperate (Easy $8-$10K)

Don't let the miles scare you, I had double that and beat her daily, never had an issue. Many of my friends are well into the 100k mile area with zero issues.

I've heard the largest of the problems areas for the B5, is the factory turbos (K03's IIRC) tend go give out around the 60k mile mark. Although with a Stage 3 kit equipped, no worries there, as the K03's are long gone lol.

You're 100% correct. I went through two pairs of K03's. The first pair was due to me not knowing exactly what I was doing with my MBC & TCD in parallel.

The second set blew after three days at a Lime Rock event. Seems they didn't like repeated 140mph+ runs on the straights ;-) I knew my second set were on the way out. They will start to screen (Most insane sound you'll ever hear) anywhere from 10-10k miles before they're completely done. Best to get them out before they blow. Once they blow they puke all of your oil into the cats (still had them then) and destroy the entire system. Not to mention when they are screaming it is actually the impeller rubbing the housing. Little pieces of metal are breaking off and welding themselves to the exhaust valves (easy $1000k to replace them).

I also know people that are beyond 150k miles, beat the car, and never had a problem.

That sucks. Especially since the Autobahn is in the backyard of Audi.

Funny you say that. That was always a major discussion we had. German cars tend to have high gears, and they are "usually" built for excessive speeds for long periods.

Look at the BMW 335i. Twin Trubo 6. It is having serious issues with the turbos blowing very easily in stock setup, not to mention once it's chipped. I personally believe it's due to the location of the snails more than anything.

Typical for that motor. It's ok, you didn't want a bug anyway.[/b]

It was fun when it was running properly, fast little thing, but your right. I was a teenage girl that just had to have it because it was soooooo cute! I learned my lesson with that thing
Now my husband has a GLI Jetta, I get in that after driving my CX and I'm like damn I need to get back into a car... soon, very soon..

LOL, my wife has the Wolfsburg (sp) Jetta. 2.5 liter inline 5 cylinder. 170hp. Not the fastest car, but I love the sound of the motor at high RPM's. That is the motor from the original Audi S1 (The winning-est rally car ever). That motor has more potential than anything out there right now. I would love a turbo kit for it, but she doesn't care about speed per say. My right arm is still bruised from car events when she was riding shotgun ;-)

I autox'ed a friend's New Beetle back in Wichita. Not sure what he had done it it power wise, but he had a big brake upgrade on it. It's always fun to beat the owner of the car with their own car. I think I beat him by about 1 second. When that boost kicked in, it can be very unexpected when you're used to the smooth pull from a NA motor like in my Saturn.

My ultimate goal with modding is to beat my Dad's C5. He won't mod it since it is the anniversary edition, so I would love to show him up with a car that cost less than half what his did. I'm still a little ways off before I can beat that thing though.
2006 SPEED6 Liquid Platinum Sport w/ Nav

Mods Needed - Catted Downpipe and finally a tune.

Shouldn't take too much more for you to. Big part is it weighs less (Coupe,3246#, Convertable, 3248# and the Hardtop, 3173). Plus 'Vetts have a big codrag efficient benifit over us ;-(

You could always get this and crush him ;p

Pics are too high of a resolution, I bought a new digital camera and the lowest setting still takes to large of a pic' file.. Even worse I am on my VPN and can't access photo bucket, flickr, etc. Well, the MS6(GT) has a whopping 748 miles on her, Black Mica, with Black leather, totally stock. For now....

Here's my S4 at least. Let me find my most recent Dyno plot. This is on race gas (100 oct') 452whp. Multiply by 1.28 for DT loss = 579chp. She moves big time ;-) Nothing like 110-165mph throwing you back in the seat. No joke.

Different wheels and bumper in one pic. I went through probably 6-8 wheel sets over time.

On 94 oct' my best pull was 407whp. That was in 42* and the first pull. After that pull heat soak killed me. High 300's at best ;-([/b]

JEEZ on the outside that car looks so innocent but i bet its just one crazy beast.

ha ha those things are good for like 100 hp minimum.

I am thinking that 300 whp should be enough to take him, the only other thing working against me is gearing, and I'm not about to tackle that one.
