I bought the extended warranty at the time of sale but have since cancelled it. I'm probably going to end up voiding my standard warranty, let alone qualifying for a $2000 extended warranty. I was just reading today about a guy who had his warranty voided when his engine blew because he had a boost gauge. He's fighting it but still, the fact that they'd even try to pull that crap...

Yeah, after reading some of those threads and talking with Eric, I'm now leaning toward no mods, owning the car another 3 years, then trading it on a Camaro SS. :(

J/k, but it is daunting and intimidating, especially to someone who is mechanically retarded, like me.

Welcome to the club. Relax, enjoy the car and take it one mod at a time.

Peace.

This is one finicky car as Eric said..........I have spent countless hours modding and researching. I love my car but have been discouraged on how much this car costs to mod successfully. If you have an extra $10000 sitting around then yes you could see the gains some have seen, but you will have a project car, not a daily driver, it will be a fixture in your garage. There is not enough support on this 2 year production car to give us any edge in the import world(hence why us oldies have moved on). It is and will be a favorite car for me, but a splinter in my thigh:mad: I had spent almost $7000 and maybe gained 40hp.......and good looks. Listen to Eric, as he has been to the end and back with the Speed, he is an asset to this community. He can let you know more then you could hope to find out in just a little time. If you plan to go to the next level, use your resources well. Good Luck and enjoy.........

P.S. good luck with that so called extended warranty, been a wasted $2000 spent by me. Just hit 45,000 miles and was turned down for a off track window(said it was mis-used by me, yah, I rolled it up and down until it fell off track:2202c3ee:). Trying to get my money refunded...........;) (and I will win)

I'll keep my pistons thank you.

Edit - Upon review, I think that sounded like I was bashing the rotary guys and I didn't mean it like that at all. I just don't know much about rotaries so I will stick with what I know. That's all I meant.
