Platinum silver 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 for sale. (Needs engine)

Postby JZSpeed6 » Sun Jul 23, 2017 9:14

This car has been driven nicely, however the timing chain slipped and now the intake valves are bent.
The interior is in great condition and it is otherwise in good shape.
Selling as a project car or for parts.
It has never been in an accident and has a clean title.
It has black leather heated seats and keeless entry/start with both keys.
There are around 136,000 miles on the odometer.

Make an offer. I would like to get around $1000 for it but if I can't find a buyer I will donate it to a charity for the tax deduction.

PM'd.

EDIT: Hmm... it doesn't look like the PM is sending. Just sitting in the outbox. Anyway, I'd like to come look at this. I'll take it off your hands if it isn't too rough and just needs an engine.

My PM said I'm available to come check it out and possibly purchase tomorrow if you're up for it.

This would be a nice built car, I can't wait to see what you do with it.

I'm thinking about this if I can afford it: http://www.speedperf6rmanc3.com/product ... -disi.html
It really depends on what else the car needs. If everything else is straight, I'll probably drop a built engine in it. If it needs other work, probably just go back to a stock motor.

Obviously, all of these plans depend on if the rest of the car is up to snuff.

:)

I still need to get it off the trailer. I've been stupid busy. I'll take some pictures this weekend.

I think I've decided to go with a OEM reman Mazda engine. Probably get a BNR S3 turbo, upgraded fuel pump, CAI, turbo inlet pipe, AccessPort, and a tune to start with.

You can get plenty of power out of an OEM motor. If you push that motor to the point of needing an upgraded motor, you will start to breaking other stuff. The upgraded fuel pump is a must from what I hear.

Also think about brake upgrades if you plan to increase power much.

I don't want to exceed around 350 whp. I'd like the motor to last and have a strong daily driver for a while. I don't need to make this a race demon, that is what the RX7 is for. I haven't decided on the turbo yet, but probably one of the BNR ones.

The front calipers on this thing are pretty large. I know it needs new rotors, so I suspect pads as well.

Oh, I did order the long block yesterday, OEM reman. Should be about 2 weeks until it is delivered.
