House for Rent in Englewood

Postby 94mx5 » Sun Aug 05, 2012 9:14

Unsure where else to post this as no other area seemed more appropriate.

We are scheduled to close on our house on August 15th. We expect to be moved out of our current house by September 1st and will be renting it. It is near Hampden and Broadway in Englewood. Here are the details and pics:

1128 feet brick ranch with full finished basement. Built in 1946 so is a bit older, but well kept.

2 bedrooms on main floor with a 3rd room that could be a bedroom. We use it as an office.
2 rooms in the basement that don't meet code for bedrooms, so they can't be used as such. One used to be our office, but they are both now storage.
Family room, large laundry room, 2nd bathroom, and storage room in basement as well.
Includes all appliances. Front load washer, gas dryer, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge.
Windows and driveway both replaced in the last year.
240 square foot flagstone patio in back yard. Paved walkway to alley and shed.
120 square foot covered front porch is great for summer evenings.
2 fireplaces, but neither should be used and instead just add some aesthetic to the rooms.
Swamp cooler and 4 ceiling fans keep the main floor mid-low 70's even on 100 degree days and use minimal power.
Mostly tile and wood floor with optional carpet in 2 upstairs bedrooms.
LOTS of storage throughout the house.
8 camera security system with DVR and nightvision.
Steel security doors on front and rear allow for extra security and ventilation.
All sorts of seasonal flowers that are easy maintenance. The bloom from early Spring ranging into the Fall. Also a peach tree that produces great fruit.

1 car garage with 2-4 gated parking spots in front of the garage depending on how large the vehicles are. I can wedge 4 small cars in. There is 3-4 additional un-gated driveway spots in the front of the house.

$1,600 per month (special member price) plus deposit.

Best to reach me by phone. 72oh-2to4-6397. Ask for Jeff.

Yeah, the peach tree has GREAT peaches this year. There are literally hundreds of them. Poor tree looks pathetic leaning over.

It is all about location, location. We are moving to a larger house that actually costs less than the current house. Adds 40 minutes of commute to each day though.

Like paying $350/mo less for a 2 car garage and 500 more sq. feet as well as owning rather than renting. Denver just isn't worth the money.

This isn't to try to downplay the value of Jeff's house to anyone up there. I'm sure it's a great value to those already living in Denver.

Yep. Rather commute for 2 hours every day than move up there. ;)

Not underwater. In fact we have plenty of equity. Our daughter just turned 1 1/2 years old and we have outgrown the house. Scraped up enough to put 20% down on a new place and found an opportunity we couldn't pass up. Just not a huge fan of the commute, but the Miata makes it a little easier. ;)

It has been 10 years and LOTS of hard work. We bought the house as a project, and it was probably the best thing we ever did. Ugliest and biggest house on the block 10 years ago. Gave us instant equity within the first year.

The closing happened yesterday, and we are on track to be out and have the house ready for move-in on September 1st. :)
