FS: 2005 Supercharged Nissan Nismo Frontier

Postby coloskydiver » Sat Jun 30, 2012 9:14

Well it is time to finally let my baby go. This is the first vehicle I have ever bought but am wanting to buy a diesel to tow the Miata around to the track and beable to bring tires, tools, fuel and the family. This is an awesome truck that is in excellent condition and has been extremely well cared for.

She puts out over 300 WHP, lifted, rims & tire, nav and full stereo. I will cut a deal if it goes to CMZC member. Let me know if any one is interesrted.

Good looking truck. We had a 2010 Pro4-X but traded it for an Xterra. I was a skeptic at first, but after test driving it, I changed my mind.

But 117k on a '05? Did you ever turn it off?? :D

edit: damn...nevermind. I forgot it's already 2012. You're only 10k over average.

Well she sold. Got a good price for it and was able to go get a new truck. Found a great deal a 08 Ford F250 FX4 but had to drive to Stearling to pick it up. Got it home and it just fits in the garage. I have always wanted a diesel and now have something that can tow my car.

Thats a good looking truck! The 6.4L Powerstroke was a massive improvement over the 6.0L as well...granted it's no Scorpion motor of todays models hehe.

You can have a LOT of fun with those things and with a few minor bolt ons and a tune...wicked TQ levels!

Well I got to say that the diesel power vehicles are a whole other world but wow the power potential. I love this truck and never posted up my feed back. The truck is great and have already mod'd it a bit but all good changes. I got emissions on it right away to get it registered and then tore off the DPF (diesel particulate filter) and tuned it and wow what a difference. I went from getting 15 MPG to 21+ (averaged 24 MPG's on the way to airport, all highway) and picked up 200+ HP's. The tuner I got is a Spartan tuner and have tunes up to 350hp gains. It is amazing what some exhaust and tune will do to these trucks. The previous owner beat up the bed of the truck so this week end I did a Duplicolor Bed Armor application and am very pleases how it turn out. Very easy to apply, just a few hours and a $100. The coating is a lot harder than I thought and should handle what I have planed for it and if it chips, it is very easy to repair. They say it is warrantied from chipping, fading and pealing, after seeing the finial product, I believe it.

The 6.4 are great engines if you maintain them and replace a few problem parts before they go bad. From reading around the boards, they respond very well to tuning and depending on how you drive them, they are extremely reliable.

^^^ This, I don't understand why people try to make full size trucks look like semi's !! Can't stand it. But that 250 is beautiful

Partly I can see them doing it for looks, and partly because once you start doing exhaust modifications, you can do a number on the car next to you when you really get on it. So they might be doing it to be somewhat polite and not cover the car next to them or behind them in soot.
