Postby 94mx5 » Sat Mar 31, 2012 9:14

1996 Miata with 197,000 miles. Clean title and Carfax included.

Fully load with options from factory. Factory features:

1.8L DOHC engine
5 speed manual transmission
Aluminum 7-spoke rims
Leather Interior
Power windows
Power mirrors
Cruise control
Power antenna
A/C
Power steering
4-wheel disc power brakes
Driver and passenger airbag
Pop-up headlights
Headrest speakers and speaker in each door
Locking center console and glove box

Should have a Torsion LSD (Limited Slip Differential) but have not "confirmed" that.

Car was backed into in a parking lot by a truck with a hitch. The driver headlight cover and fender were slightly damaged along with the front bumper. All bolt on parts with no damage to the hood or frame. Drive it as-is or bolt on replacement parts. Car does smoke some when it is first started up, so anticipate some maintenance or maybe an engine rebuild at some point. It can still be driven every day as it currently is. Interior is in decent shape except for torn driver seat. Tires are about 50% tread. Top seals nicely, no tears or holes. Car is to be sold 100% as-is.

Additional performance parts can be negotiated with sale including aftermarket springs/shocks that will lower car 1-2", aftermarket aluminum low profile wheels, aftermarket intake. They are not currently on the car and not included in the price.

$2,500 firm as-is for members. The LSD alone is about 1/2 that value!

I have started the car up a few times in the last few weeks, and can't get it to smoke again. The smoke seems to have been a 1x thing after sitting for the winter under the cover. Maybe it just leaked a bit of oil on the exhaust or something. Regardless, starts easily and runs good without any apparent issues.
