WTB: Mazda Emblem 81-85 RX-7

I'm looking for a good Mazda emblem for the right rear of an '81-85 rx.

I'd like to get one with good tabs. I tried to get a new one but I've found out that Mazda has discontinued it in the last month and it was only $16 when they had it.

I may try calling the parts departments of the local dealers to see if the might have one sitting around.

Have you tried calling Malloy Mazda? Ask for Ray (I think that's his name). That's where I got the headlight cover and badges for my FD from. I don't know how, but somehow they can get all kinds of rare RX-7 parts.

Also, have you tried a different model? I was behind an early 90's or late 80's Mazda MPV today, and the "Mazda" emblem looked exactly like I remember the early RX7 emblems. Except it wasn't black, but you could plasti-dip it. Just an idea.

I was able to order a new one from Black Dragon at a premium of $45 shipped. What a rip off.

The emblem on the second gen RX and the MPV are slightly larger. From what I was reading, the old 626 has the same emblem just in chrome.

Thanks everyone.

Understandable. I've been in love with the Delorean since I first saw one when I was 10 back in '82. Almost bought one in 1991 for a steal ($14k in almost mint condition). I regret not buying it. :( Such a great looking car, just severely underpowered.

I'd love to get my hands on a DeLorean. I'm not gonna lie either, it's because of Back to the Future lol. I have the Hot Wheels version, that's about it lol.

Have you seen the 20B DeLorean? That one isn't underpowered lol.

Ha ha. Yeah, I've seen that 20B DeLorean. Awesome custom job. If I had a garage and any kind of money, I'd snap up a DeLorean shell and try and figure out some kind of engine transplant like that. Of course I would have to upgrade the interior/dash as well (the dash really hasn't stood the test of time well).
