WTB NA Miata...

Postby generalfred » Thu Jul 21, 2011 9:14

I'm currently looking for a first gen Miata. I'm looking to spend around $3,000. Tried Craigslist, but the options are limited. If there's anyone considering selling, please let me know.

I may sell mine. Body is not pretty, interior is nice and now it runs great! A/C is cold and have a newer top. I don't want to get rid of it (was going to turbo it and make it a track car), but the wife wants a convertible we can take the kids in. Now I am looking at a Jeep. PM me if you are interested. I want it to go to an enthusiast who would appreciate it for what it is... like I do! :-)

I got it for $3500 from a guy in CoS. He really took great care of it. I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow. Really, this was one of those deals that pops up on craigslist as you're looking... Called right away. It has Racing Beat springs, and anti-roll bars front and rear, KYB shocks. 15" Mazda wheels (don't know what car their from). Dunlop Direzza tires....

The top and window are in great shape as well... only missing the tab on the zipper you use to zip it up.... I just stuck a zip tie on it. I'll bring it out to any meetings there may be. I'd like to check out some of the other Miata's that happen to be around.

Nice looking car. The wheels look like they are Protege wheels or something. I don't believe they are Miata as the 99+ came with a 15" but in a different design. See link for Miata wheel info:

Thanks! Yeah, I plan to change the wheels to make the car more "mine". But I do like them better than the stock one's from that year....

I used a keyring on my top zipper until I got a new top. Worked great. Car looks great man. Sounds like you got a great deal.
