werd. i tried selling to a pawn shop...and they offered me like 200 for everything cause they said noone comes in looking for riding gear...im thinkin they were just trying to rip me off.

what type of bike?

I was leaning towards a naked bike more than a sports bike, my first bike was an 04 kawi ninja 250...so I think a about 500-600 would work.

I did have an 08 ZZR600 (rebadged off the 00-02 ZX6r)...after I put 6k miles under my belt with a Ninja250 in 3 months.

Traded my 02 R1 for my MS3. Regretted it ever since.

im sure having a bike is alot nicer down in CO...up here its a pain...only 3 months that are prime riding weather..and even then, you still have gusts of wind at around 30mph..
