Hi, all,
I race a 1983 RX-7 in the SCCA's Spec 7 class. I'm looking for a shop that knows 12A engines to do some diagnostics, and perhaps some freshening/tuning. Preferably in the Colorado Springs area, but I'll go to Denver for the expertise I'm looking for.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!
Clay

Not sure about a shop. What is the problem with it?

Chris,
I'm not sure there is a problem; I just want to find out what I don't know.
I bought the car last year, and it's in very good shape. However, it had been sitting (inside) for a couple years. I raced it all last year, and tinkered with it every week, but never delved into the engine.
I'm getting outrun down the straights by a slight margin. I'd like to start with a programmable compression tester, see what that tells me about the health of the edge seals, and go from there.
Thanks.

Not sure of anyone with a programmable compression tester. You might be able to take it to SR Tuning and put it on the dyno to get the A/F set just right.
