Detail shops?

Postby AuroraAxela » Thu Feb 02, 2012 9:14

So, I quit smoking in December, and now with Spring coming, I am looking to get my car fully detailed for the first time. My question is this. Does anyone know of a good, reliable detail shop near Aurora that can remove odors well? That above anything is my concern, because, as I said, after six years, my smoking has imbued my car with a certain musk that I no longer care to have.
Thanks guys!

Try putting 2 small bowls (pudding dishes, coffee mugs, ect.) of vinegar in your car. One on the dash or floor upfront and one by the back windshield. Let it sit overnight. Longer if you can. Should soak up most of the smell. Worked well when getting skunk smell out of my sisters car.

I'm with chickenwafer, I had my interior cleaned and exterior detailed at The Man Cave, and Mike really hooked me up and I really loved the job they did. That being said, I had no bad smells to have removed, so I can't comment on their ability to remove smells.

Congrats on kickin the habit!

Hi guys! I am very thankful that you guys thought of me for your detailing. I am a Mazda enthusiast first and even though we detail a lot of Ferrari's and Porsches, I will always take care of you guys!

Sorry I am not on the board as much but it doesn't help I totaled my RX-7 and don't have the money to fix it. Hopefully, I will be at one of the meets this summer!

Oh snap, what happened to your 7 Mike? Did this happen within the last few weeks when I had my car taken care of, or am I just that oblivious?

Sorry to hear about your 7 Mike. I have'nt been on the cmzc site lately, Been kinda bummed about my tools being stolen from my garage back in Nov. Not enough for Ins. to cover so I'll have to start buying some this spring. that will come from my 7 budget.

Hope to see you this summer.

It happened at the drag strip a while ago, it's been almost or even over a year now right Mike?

Am I really that oblivious? lol. It was sitting back in the corner of his shop when I had my car detailed, but I couldn't see the whole thing. Just the driver side.

I actually wrecked it at Colorado National Speedway doing the circle drags while they were filming a show with Willie B. I made the dumb mistake of putting on different size wheels in the back without re-adjusting my break proportioning valve. When I came in extremely hot to turn 3, I just locked up and slid into the wall. I probably should have just got back onto the gas and tried to drift that corner but it happened so fast. I have a video of the wreck posted at RX7fire.com.

The FD I have stored at the Man Cave is actually a friend of mines. I probably will end up buying it since he moved to New York and can't drive it there.

As far as prices for detailing at the Man Cave.....

$200 - Wash, single stage polish, Wax, full interior, and engine bay

$300 - Same as above but 3 stage polish if car is really scratched up

I have other packages starting at $125 and can go to over $500 for restorative detailing such as painting calipers, undercarriages, polishing intake manifolds, ect.

Look forward to getting the Mazda community together this Spring.
