Hey rich, dig the engine bay - you have similar mods to mine.

Question in regards to powder-coating.
I was thinking of doing a different theme, instead of all black components, to do a different color. I had my TMIC shroud powdercoated black, but it wore out almost instantly from the rubber surround from the hood, when closed, presses up against it, causing the finish to rub off. Mine looks similar to Rich's pic....any thoughts on protecting this? I was thinking maybe silicone, or using some sort of ky-jelly to protect it - haha.

Nice! It would be nicer if it was a Mazda ;)

I know thats pretty cool! I like your front lip did you DIY that?

As far as the powdercoating I am wondering the same thing. I left my shroud as is because I knew that anything I put there would be rubbed off.

The lip is a garage door wind-sealer (Home Depot Lip) or (HD ground effects) -lol

I'd like to do a red-metallic finish; painted plastic covers, intercooler shroud and intake piping...however I would need to find a remedy to the paint rubbing off...

did you take off the stock black-lip or did you just put this one over it?
I tore/bent my stock lip over a parking-stop, so am probably going to do the same thing as you,

The bigger question is when.
