Suggestions for Protege5 stereo?

Looking for wise input on buying a new car stereo for my 2002 Protege5. A replacement and minor upgrade, this won't be a trunk full of funk. Might get a subwoofer later, but probably not. Listen to mostly classic rock, NPR news, some classical. Used to no subwoofer.

Top choices are
Pioneer DEH-X6500BT

Kenwood KDC-BT5555U
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113BT555U/Kenwood-KDC-BT555U.html

Going to purchase the head unit from Crutchfield for $12 more because of strong customer support, included install kit, etc.

Will get speakers elsewhere, much cheaper:
Infinity 6032si

Infinity 6832cf

Thanks for your time and suggestions!

I really enjoyed the Kenwood deck I had in the past, so I'd give that one a thumbs up

Thanks for the help. The Kenwood is the clear winner. But what about Ohms?

Here's a Chat conversation I had with the guy at Crutchfield.

CJ: Welcome to Crutchfield Chat. I'm CJ, and I'm a product advisor. How can I help you today?

ME: I'm looking at the Kenwood KDC-BT555U with a set of Infinity 6032si and a set of Infinity 6832cf speakers. These would be in a 2002 Mazda Protege5.

I plan to drive the 6032si with the front outputs of the Kenwood and the 6832cf with the rears. I will not be using any amps, nor a subwoofer.

My concern is Ohms. The KDC is clearly a 4-8 Ohm unit, while the speakers are 2 Ohm units.

This is a big mismatch and I am concerned. Can you explain what's happening here, or what needs to be done about it?

CJ: I completely understand your concern, and while the are advertised as a "2 ohm" speaker they really are not a "true 2 ohm." They are designed in such a way that the speaker's 2-ohm impedance combines with speaker wire impedance to actually deliver a 4 ohm load.

Dana: So are there any concerns I should have?

CJ: None!

Sounds pretty fishy to me. I know little about electronics, but 2 Ohms is a lot less load than 4 to 8. Aren't I likely to blow everything up?

Do I need 2 Ohm speakers?

I'd never run a 2ohm speaker on a amp or head unit designed for 4. It might, and probably will work... but for how long is the question. You could literally listen to it for 5 minutes and kill it or it will be fine for years. It's literally just a gamble.

Thank you! Yes, that's what I'm hearing. So, looking at some Kicker 4 ohm speakers:
Front Kicker KS68 http://www.crutchfield.com/S-pIBX3E5PuCv/p_206KS68/Kicker-KS68.html?tp=93
Rear Kicker 40CS674 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_2064CS674/Kicker-40CS674.html?tp=94

Open to suggestions on other rears, especially. Thanks!
