Hey All! I have a quick question regarding the headlights on a 3...

I was tooling around the web and have seen multiple discussions directiing you to remove the bumper to change the headlight... Is this true? I find that to be a HUGE PITA. Figured I'd ask the experts before I start rippiing my car apart.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

I believe that sounds right. The only car I've changed the headlights on was a diesel F250 though with my brother so not too sure what it'd take to change a normal passanger car. If I remember right from my 8 that you have to take the bumper off because there are some screws under their but not 100% sure.

Hrm... Chris I'd ask or PM Colombia28 / Andrew and he should be able to help you out possibly. I'll see what I can find though about that but I really dont see why you'd haveta take the bumper off..

Are talking about removing the headlight assembly or just replacing a headlight bulb? As much as iv read up on this type of thing on the 3 forums ect, you do not need to remove the bumper to do either. It certainly makes things easier i think, but it is not necessary.

All of that was done with the bumper on.

Cool.

Then you for sure do not need to remove the bumper.
